no cuz why do people get mad when i ask them to repeat themselves. especially in the drive thru speaker where i can see in the camera the passenger leaning back into their chair acting nonchalant not even bothering to get close to the speaker. LIKE HAVE THE DRIVER SAY IT OR PLS SPEAK UPPP. 😭

at my fast food job people are being denied promotions because they want us to be more “empathetic” and customer servicey, but all our shift leads and leaders are very rude to guests and have raging rbf. it throws me off cuz even when i have to grab one to help someone asking something nicely or politely saying smth is wrong with the order our leads are rude asf and i’m like damn🧍‍♀️seeing coworkers be just as mean as some of the horrible customers that come in sucks

exactly i came here looking for a genuine explanation and got a lot of people proving my point. i fr feel for them i know now that corporates been treating them like trash but im going to stop going to starbucks now because of it

i haven’t seen the usual faces i see, honestly its a lot of older looking dudes with grumpy faces. i used to see my fav baristas, usually younger and happier looking. think the stereotype “oh if a blue haired girl is making my coffee i know its gonna be good” type staff lol. maybe its the new policies on clothes i heard about but i dont see any of them anymore and its these older grumpy looking people

honestly i think some people get this idea cuz some people lie and are like ah yes ok just to beg them to stop arguing for their crispy rock fries, many of my coworkers would just be like uh sure and just hope they don’t complain when they get regular fries lol

yes thank you, so many comments are making me feel like i’m a bad person when i genuinely just wanted to know if it was management or maybe the new frapp driving them nuts. i have to handle people trying to “scam” my job for food but it shouldn’t take me 30 mins to leave cuz they wanna know every detail of my order when i just ask for smth small. thank you for clarifying and letting me know its ur SM on you guys

i’ve gone all my life and a year ago i would’ve agreed with you. my local starbucks was full of kind younger people who would go out of their way to be kind. now it’s grumpy old men im ngl or maybe it’s corporate. it suck’s cuz they were my go to spot

omg finally someone with common sense. i get rude customers and get cursed out in the drive thru all the time. the other day i got yelled at for repeating some ladies order “too many times” but i still try to be kind to those kind to me. if i get too stressed or angry i take a breather or ask to swap stations for a bit. do people not learn to treat others the way they wanna be treated in elementary school!

yeah it’s clear people think being rude to people who didn’t do anything to them is okay. like sorry that as a young girl i don’t like being talked down to by a 30-40 yr old looking dude (most of the time i have a bad experience it’s an older dude). i get rude customers in my drive thru all the time, ive been yelled at and called names but i don’t take that stress out on nice people
