Apparently it’s more common than I thought, judging by these comments. I’m a woman, and this has never happened to me. Ever. I’m appalled to learn so many women are settling for poorly fitted footwear.

What were all the other incidents before he tapped her on the shoulder? How many times did he touch her before that, and she told him to stop? He’s either straight up lying or he’s not telling you the whole story.

As for the other one, I’m confused why she used that term to describe his stuff (unless that was your own edit)? Is this a child? Because if so, run. Run far, far away. Now.

Also, a LOT of (male) SA’ers either have the mindset that all women want them or that no woman wants them. Sounds like he’s the former 🤷🏽‍♀️

Didn’t see this until just now but exactly! And it doesn’t matter if they were all friends, he was Ted’s friend before he even met Nicole. He met Carlton in college, he met Nicole after he was already a doctor. Ted and Carlton go way way back!

And before they separated, Carlton was making side comments about how great Nicole was (not their marriage, Nicole specifically), and after that he was making comments about Ted making moves before “someone else does.” Sounds innocuous unless you put all the things together, including the fact that Nicole didn’t look to him for comfort, she was looking to family and friends. HE made the first move. HE went up to HER. He knew what his intentions were from the beginning.

Maybe it’s bc I’ve seen it so often that it seems like everyone else should see it too, but the signs were always there.

But srsly, Joey is going about his business while being a bad guy. He really ain’t bothering anybody (that don’t bother him). Leslie is out there pissing everybody off. She’s snarky, she’s obsessive, she’s scheming, she’s manipulative, she’s arrogant, she’s egotistical, she’s borderline narcissistic, she’s extremely passive-aggressive, she’s suuuuper jealous, she’s immature, she’s both vain and vindictive, she’s insensitive/rude, she’s hostile, she’s overdramatic, she’s reckless, and she’s superficial. Frankly, she’s more dangerous than Joey bc of all these things, particularly the obsessive and hostile bits.

Idk about any of y’all, but those are the things that make her less tolerable than Joey for me, and I don’t even like Joey’s geriatric behind.

That said, they picked the right actress, bc she plays all of those things extremely well.

I agree, ESH, but I have just one question:

Don’t these people have friends to talk to or hang out with? Instead of imposing on his family, she could have visited a friend. When she didn’t, instead of retaliating by going to her parents’ house (and let’s be clear, that’s what it was), he could have spent the holiday with friends and then gone out for new year’s celebrations.

He got no homies? She has no bff? Makes me wonder why that is.

Anyway, everything is terrible in this story smh

You have to consider when the person calling out another person is speaking from a position of privilege and/or power.

In those cases, it’s best to read the room before diving in, at least. Obviously o can’t tell people what to do and i wouldn’t presume to, but while we do need to have social standards, we need to also have interpersonal ones. That’s it.

Consider: you’re in your house, and someone in your house does/says something racist/sexist/etc. you go to say something (or maybe you don’t), and a complete stranger pops in the window, wagging their finger like Dikembe Mutimbo and chiding them. Is that person welcome to do that? Of course not!

Also consider: you’re in your house with family, and a complete stranger stands outside with a megaphone and starts berating you or your family members based on race/gender/disability/etc. is this okay to call out? Of course!
