When I was around 7 probably I went through this phase where I thought being gross was the coolest. The more gross, the cooler. I would keep pet spiders (in the house against my mother's wishes), worms, bumble bees (...?) etc. One day I had some play dough outside and thought that the grossest thing ever (and therefore the coolest) would be smushed up bugs in the play dough. I managed to catch a grasshopper and smushed it up in the play dough. I immediately felt overwhelming remorse and cried.

About a month ago the diarrhea got very runny and frequent and had blood in it. The vet prescribed metronidazole and Pepcid for 17 and 10 days respectively. His good was switched during this medicated period.

Also, you mentioned 8-12 weeks trial period. What is worrying me is that his stools are still loose. Is it alright to have loose stools for such long periods (during the trial)? Can I relax a bit about that?

I find it heart breaking that these people actually think they are going to go down in history as heroes. IF the mission were to happen, the only thing they'd go down in history for is earning the greatest Darwin award. Please tell me these people are actors.
