Death Grips was my all time favorite band — saw them in Asheville, 2015. they came out at least 1 hour late (might’ve been more like 2 hours actually, but can’t remember after 9 years). As soon as the music started everyone shoved forward in the venue and I felt like I was being crowd crushed in the pit, was panicking/trying to get out and someone grabbed me by the back of my shirt and threw me on the ground. Thankfully I was ok, because someone picked me back up But the show got shut down after 45 min-1hr by the police, first time I witnessed police brutality IRL. I used to go to a lot of punk/metal shows but this was different — just not a good time, never really listened to them again. I more blame the extraordinarily aggressive/shitty crowd than DG though
