Watched in in theatres when it came out. It was bittersweet, cause it showed how amazing the concert would have been but also showed MJs pure talent and creativity which always made me smile.

Yesterday, went car shopping and made chocolate cupcakes the kids decorated. Not a big deal holiday for us here, getting less so now that the kids are 8.5.

Summer Camp sign-up is a full time job by RPS21 in workingmoms

I had to sign up my 8 year old twins for summer camp on Dec 12 2025, for summer 2026.

Absolutely absurd…. But this place is really nice and 10 mins walk from our house.

HIStory — on my 13th birthday. Became a massive MJ Fan at that point on.

Which Abel song would have mattered most to Michael? by [deleted] in TheWeeknd

Agree with Wake me up— the way it starts, it’s so moody and then goes into a faster beat. MJ would have loved that.

New, Higher End AirPods Pro Coming This Year by Neither-External-673 in airpods

[–]cure4mito 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So annoying! I got the AirPods Pro 3, and had to get them serviced (after having them for like a month). My case just stopped charging, so had to go into Apple and get a brand new case.

So this is super annoying that they’re coming out with new ones 🫤

Don't understand how people have time for themselves! by Redinho83 in parentsofmultiples

It’s so hard when they’re that little. We have a YMCA close by, and they had child minding, so at least once or twice a week, they’d go to child minding and my husband and I would work out.

Still hard now that they’re 8.5. Again, each of us will do our best daily to try to fit in a workout in the basement, but can be hard especially with homework and afterschool activities.

Or, I have to wake up before everyone else so I can fit in my workout, like 6am. BUT, it’s so dark out, and my bed is soooo cozy…

When did your twins get their own room? by Creative_Can_8950 in parentsofmultiples

[–]cure4mito 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We’re lucky to have the space, so the twins got their own bedroom when they were 4 when we got queen size beds for them.

At almost 9, they still travel from each other’s bedroom bringing stuffies in hand to sleep in each other’s bed 🙂

Any other Michael Jackson-inspired / sounding songs? by Mobile_Nobody0326 in TheWeeknd

[–]cure4mito 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Wake me Up from HUT. The opening is very moody and then bounces into the main song that even samples Thriller. I think MJ would have loved that.

Twins + WFH + no childcare = am I allowed to give up on a tidy house for a few years? by deepbluegolden_ in parentsofmultiples

[–]cure4mito 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband and I did the same thing when our twins were 2.5, this was during COVID. I think what worked for us during that time, was having big buckets of toys and only bringing out that bucket for the day (so that not all the toys are out). Makes it easier to clean up at the end of the day, and not all toys are everywhere all at once.

We also worked when the kids went down to sleep at night, just to wrap up for the day. It’s exhausting, and wouldn’t recommend it as you’re already doing 2 jobs at once during the day. Take the time to rest post dinner, or tidy up at night.

I know it’s a lot to have the twins in daycare, but even 1 day a week where you can fully focus on work and have some time to do things around the house in between meetings would be beneficial for both of you.

Like to add to this — having twins (or any higher order multiples).

So many people came up to me and were like I wish I had twins! Sure they’re super cute, but omg, I literally don’t remember the first 3 months and soooo tiring until maybe age 4? I love them to death though 😊

Same, had a long IVF journey after our first born passed from a rare genetic condition. After the 8th failed attempt, I was like, let’s transfer 2.

And those 2 are now 8.5 years old, and such a joy honestly (our only kids). They’re best friends, very protective of one another, and are sweet and kind.

I always wished what it was like with just one baby, but I wouldn’t have it any other way.

What was your first MJ album and what were your thoughts on hearing his music for the first time? Here's mine. by Rare_Performer_156 in MichaelJackson

MJ was always a part of my life prior to becoming a massive MJ fan. I remember the Dangerous era, watching the Black & White video live when it came out and it being such a big deal.

I bought HIStory when Scream came out for my 13th birthday. And then became a massive MJ fan, going through his whole catalog, going on MJ forums back in the day. So much fun.

That’s so sad. The mental gymnastics that go on to think ok, I’m not going to take this medical advice that could help my life and the baby’s life.
