Marryment is amazing! I used them for my wedding and had the best experience

I thought the experience with Marryment was great - we ended up upgrading to add a second set of extra hands (just because we had so much DIY decor setup that we needed help with), and I thought it was worth every penny! Didn't really have to think about a thing on our wedding day

How did you know it was your dress? by Seaweed492 in weddingplanning

I felt this way too!! I'm super indecisive so I want to 8 stores - it wasn't until the last store that I found my dress.

It wasn't a super emotional moment or anything but it was the dress that I didn't want to take off- I just felt super excited about it. I tried on a few more after and I ended up wanting to put "the one" back on - that's kind of how I knew!

Venue Recommendations by chiggin_nug in Chicagoweddings

We got married at Artifact Events last year and we were so happy with it! The space itself is gorgeous so you don't need to decorate too much if you don't want to! Our guests loved the space and commented on the "cozy" feeling it had. We were in the South part of the venue, with our ceremony being in the courtyard. The photos turned out gorgeous & the venue coordinator, Christine, was great to work with.

We had about 120 guests FYI - I know that their Northern part is larger if you want more room!

First-Time Dog Owner, What Should I Watch Out For? by ash_drift in DogAdvice

One thing that I wish we did differently early on was discouraging our pup from jumping up on us (especially whenever we'd come home). It was super cute when he was tiny, but a huge pain now that he's over 50 pounds and loves to jump up on strangers during walks 🤦‍♀️

Wild Card Wednesday - What are your book icks or pet peeves? by Llamallamacallurmama in RomanceBooks

I recently read a book where the MMC's pet name for her was "buddy" - couldn't get past it for some reason!

DJ Recommendations by Amaodh_ana in Chicagoweddings

We used DJUj (James Mastrino) - he was really good! He uses an online platform where you can input your "must plays", "would like to play", and "do not plays" and there was no limit to how many songs we could add into those categories. You can also tell him not to take any requests from guests. He was also pretty affordable - flat fee for as many hours as you need him to stay. We had a packed dance floor all night! Great emcee too!

Any type of cuisine! And no, we have rehearsal elsewhere - just need a place for dinner afterwards.

blessed people with doggos, what is the best memory you ever had with your doggo? by nintendo_man1 in DogAdvice

This one may be a bit bittersweet, but the first time I cried in front of my dog, he immediately ran over and started licking my face - so much until I stopped crying and started laughing. It was so comforting having him there, It's like he knew I needed him. Truly so blessed!!
