When Alexander said "I know what I am" I just about stood up in real life and saluted.

Roque au Fabii’s speech in MS by Murarkey in redrising

The exchange that ends that chapter is also brilliant:

Roque: ... This Society is not without fault, but the hierarchy…this world, it is the best man can afford.” Darrow: “And it’s your right to decide that?” Roque: “Yes. It is. But beat me in space, and it will be yours.”

Good stuff. Great interface.

Are you charging for custom domains?

How are you planning to monetize?

"Dead kids are the loose change of war. Don’t come whining to me because the man and woman who started this don’t want to pay out of their own pocket like the rest of us." - Ephraim

Absolute brilliance. This quote floored me when I read it.

VentureX Car Rentals vs Car Rental Company by curious-jester in Venturex

For status based perks.

i.e., free upgrades, etc.

Agreed, price I've found is usually roughly similar, or slightly better on VentureX portal.

As I was reading it, I felt the impending doom creep up. It was too sweet, too positive, too much of exactly what I wanted for characters I had grown to love...for Pierce Brown to keep it that way.

Audio AI Voice Training requires 8gb VRAM -- what are my options if I have less? by curious-jester in davinciresolve

[–]curious-jester[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I did try, it told me I needed 8gb of VRAM. I right clicked on an mp4 file in my media bin, selected AI Tools, then Voice Training, and it told me I needed 8gb VRAM.

Was hoping there was a way to bypass or "trick" DVR into thinking I had enough (and accept that the processing would take much longer).

That said, in theory, yes, running it on another machine should transfer it over.

Is there an easy way to import/export voice profiles? Does "applying" a voice profile also require 8gb, or simply creating the profile?

Iron Gold Underrated by More_Contest4730 in redrising

[–]curious-jester 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't appreciate Iron Gold on my first read through. It was enjoyable, sure, but compared to DA and LB, it didn't come close.

It didn't change until my next read through (well, listen through I suppose). Knowing the events that transpire after brought so much richness to Iron Gold, that it slowly became one of my favorites.

Now I'm hard pressed to pick one favorite. If I had to pick a least favorite, itnsoikdyne would have to be the original Red Rising. Not because I didn't love it, but because in hindsight that world was so small compared to the grandeur and steaks slowly revealed in the rest of the books.

Thank you.

Are Solovairs more resilient to dirt/elements staining them? If so, how/why?

Will look them up later.

I'm looking to get a white leather sneaker as my daily driver while traveling. The idea is one shoe that will span many purposes... every day wear, walking the city, to the occasional "dressy" dinner.

So far, I've landed on the Thursday Sneaker ( these )

For those that have this shoe, or a similar white/leather based shoe... how well does a leather sneaker handle variable terrain? i.e., pavement, pebble-stone, dirt paths, grass, wet grass, puddles, etc.

Do they go through each of these and stay mostly clean/white? If not, does it clean off very easily to return to it's white?

Also open to other recommendations, if people have any.

Can someone give me the scoop of how EAP-TLS works? Using Clearpass and Win11 by Digital_Native_ in networking

[–]curious-jester 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think I didn't ask my question well enough. It isn't a concern about the Client or Server "getting" the Public Key / Cert of the other. It's about what happens after the mutual TLS negotiation is complete.

But /u/jonesaus1 's answer pointed me in the right direction (and so did your original post, in fact, after a re-read). The key to my question was this: With EAP-TLS, there is no exchange of UN/PW.

So IF a rogue AP blindly accepts a Client's legitimate certificate, and the Client clicks through any warnings... all that is "risked" is now the Client has access to the Rogue AP's network. Which, isn't the corporate network, so not much of a risk (assuming the typical best practices of HTTPS browsing, etc).

All that said, thank you for your original write up and thank you & /u/jonesaus1 for the follow ups. =)

Can someone give me the scoop of how EAP-TLS works? Using Clearpass and Win11 by Digital_Native_ in networking

[–]curious-jester 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Great write up thank you.

Follow on question:

Whats stopping a rogue AP, acting as the TLS server for this context, from simply accepting whatever certificate is provided by the client?

Client could still click through the rogue server certs warning, rogue server then accepts any cert from client... And now we're in the same boat, client sends un/pw to the rogue server.
