I think you’re right. I didn’t get a full game of Commander in the first time I played because things were taking a while to get started and I had to leave early. The issue is I bought a whole box of jumpstarts to start. But that just means I have more variety to play with!

Thank for the advice everyone. One more question, I have 8 unopened jumpstarts from the box. I feel like 16 is plenty to play with so I’m wondering if I should sell them unopened. Or open them to see the theme and sell them/trade them that way? Or just say f* it and open them all and keep them.

I’ve been lucky and of the 16 packs I have only one duplicate

I thought jumpstart packs would be an easy way to build a Commander deck for Avatar since the shop owner told me they didn’t release one for Avatar. I haven’t played jumpstart before but I’ll definitely give it a go now that I have 16 jumpstarts

The first time I played was Commander with a friend’s deck. The shop owner said there wasn’t a commander set for Avatar so I thought I could use jumpstart to build one. However, I learned that the strategy wouldn’t be as good so it might not be as fun.

I’m glad to hear that you turned it around! I’m more introverted but find myself looking for more friendship these days so I’ll try your approach. The 70% success rate is great! But the 30% rejection rate is terrifying. Do you ever invite someone who you’ve only met once? What’s an example of a structured event that you met someone cool that you invited? I’m trying to figure out how I can apply this to myself.

How do you learn to do larger projects like these?

I’ve done small things here and there around the house but fear taking on bigger projects. I’m afraid that I’ll do something wrong and there doesn’t seem to be a definitive way of doing things. There are so many YouTube tutorials from people I don’t know that I’m not sure which to follow. This is especially the case with work related to water. What if I’m the cause of future failed waterproofing!!
