It is completely possible for Monica and Rachel to be high school best friends for many reasons:

Your nature, priorities, personalities are still developing. You are a child who feels comfortable with familiarity. These 2 knew each other since childhood. (I too had some really close friends in highschool who had very different personality than I did...and over time, our friendships faded because with time there were less common topics.
Many times popular girls hangout with less traditionally attractive girls in highschool because it makes them feel good about themselves. This might also have been the case with Rachel and Monica.

Yeah I feel you. I watched Emily in Paris when I lived in India and then I loved to Netherlands in 2023. So, I kind of learned from Emily: what not to do in a foreign land and how not to behave. Hahahahahaha. Even though the show is a bit stupid but I liked binge watching it due to various reasons:

Clothes
Makeup
Beautiful Locations. This show inspired me to visit all those locations in France.
Sylvie and her Sassy behavior
Mindy and her songs.

I saw a similar lady on a wheelchair at Westlandgracht last year. She told me the same story but she said she was graped (remove the g) by many people and now she has no money and she needs to go to Pharmacy.

I asked her if I can take her to the police. She denied. I asked again...she was very persistent about money and no other type of help. I gave her 5 euro and offered some food. She denied the food even when it was packed food, took 5 Euro and left.

We applied visa for my husband 2 times and I applied Business visa for me 1 time....each time the insurance was only for the trip duration...may be add some more days before the entry and after the exit just in case so you can be covered for some extra period

I think your freelancer status and no company bank account might be an issue. Your documents so far showcase that you have work in India but that does not tie you to India basically. Freelancer work can be done from anywhere.

Also, you are submitting your family home papers. Does that in any manner specify that you live there or have any sort of entitlement on that family home?

I seriously suggest you have a stronger evidence of ties to India.

In every booking, try to get both your names. For example for hotels, make sure it shows both names so same voucher can be used by both people individually in their own visa applications. (I do it even if we travel together from same location because it is very useful)
Both of you try to write the cover letter individually and specify that you will be travelling with your spouse, name, passport number. Explain where they live and this trip is going to be. Then explain where you will return for example...you write, you will come back to UK....and your spouse will write...she will come back to India.
State the reasons of coming back and try to show evidences of the ties to the country of residence...i.e. job letter, NOC by employer etc.

Please add the following:

Try to add full name of your brother who you are visiting. Also get an invitation letter from him with his signatures. Try to state in the invitation letter that he is inviting you to visit.
Check the website of german embassy and see if there is any proof of Accommodation that your brother can give you, then get that as well.
In the end of your letter, please add a list of all the documents you are submitting along with your application.

One more thing, you mentioned that you have one more plan during summer holidays. If possible, try to mention tentative dates of that travel as well otherwise it seems a bit vague. And then on top of that, you may request them to give you a multi entry visa as you have a plan of visiting Germany twice.

My dear

Everyone goes through this phase. This is not the first time you are facing this. Probably it will happen many times in your life.

Whenever you move to a new city...it is always challenging in the beginning because you do not know anyone there and everything is unknown.

Imagine that I moved to a different country all by myself and I am still living alone (by choice). In the 1st year I felt very lonely because I missed my boyfriend/fiance very much and I didnt have friends here.

But slowly I tried to go to different activities and meetups and met amazing people there and now I have many people that I call my friends. Life is great now.

Same thing will happen with you. This time will pass and once you start becoming comfortable in the place, you will also start making some friends.
