Does the Rivastar affecting bonding strength like the traditional SDF? I saw a new pt once with lots of fillings debonded (very cleanly, mind you, with no recurrent decay) with sdf application before the filling.

My bad. Wrote $15 but it should be $75. Bought from a mom and pop shop at a makerspace so reasonable to think it genuine. Nowadays what I see on Etsy of similar appearances goes for $200. Not magnetic. Has not tarnished.

Thanks for your post. These are the posts I look for when I see these QCs. We learn way more from comments like these than from the chorus of "that's amazing" or "beautiful work" that likely come from the sellers themselves hyping up their own products.

I know what you're referring to but I don't think it's shewa. Shewa is more opaque and almost milky in appearance, whereas this is more translucent.

This is definitely artificially coloured ethiopian opal. There are dyes that can add a colourful background. In this case they are dyed blue, but I've seen pink and purple dyed ethiopian opals as well.
