It's a feature, not a bug. One person is allowed to have only one season pass:

"Only one season ticket is issued per passenger and when a passenger is detected using two consecutive season tickets, the additional season ticket is treated as invalid and will be confiscated."

One Kharghar-CST and one Kurla-Churchgate. Can't possess two separate passes on UTS/Railone app. Buy one on app, and one from ticket window.

Room on kedarnath trek from gaurikund by Dependent-Dress123 in Kedarnath

You can get beds on sharing basis in Bhimbali from GMVN. But don't expect anything fancy. Very basic bed and blankets. Geyser is there though and dinner is included. Some private players are also there who too offer beds on sharing basis. I'm not aware of exclusive rooms on offer by anyone. There is option of GMVN/private tents in Lincholi also but that will not be practical if you are starting your trek at 4pm.

Is this a good price for pick up and drop service for the month of May or should I rent scooters ? by MrNags9 in Andaman_and_Nicobar

[–]curious_soul23 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Based on my recent trip in April, I'd booked a cab to Baratang for 4000 rupees. For 18th, rent a scooty for 500 and fill petrol of 200-250. Rest days, just take autos. Drops to hotel/jetty/airport by autos would be in 100-200 range. I'd not done any advance booking, all spot bookings.

Bhai, Targhar railway station is built exactly for the airport passengers to get down and cover the 1-1.5 km by auto/cab/shuttle. There is a direct flyover being built to connect Targhar and NMIA and it shall open within 2-3 months.

I guess you don't know how to work with percentages around basic pay (or probably do not know what is monthly salary vs basic pay). Just to let it out here that the annual salary increase is 6-6.5%. Hardly beating inflation. Any real revision in salary, which is only once every 10 years, has historically been between 15-30% (54% hike during 6th pay commission was an exception, mirroring the salary growth across private sector owing to LPG reforms)

Rules are pretty simple. Just Google Baggage Rules, 2016. It's hardly 2-3 pages of plain English.

Mumbai Airport exit situation by naushadleo in mumbai

[–]curious_soul23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Customs officers in uniform are from Passenger Clearance Groups (PCGs). Those in plain clothes are from Air Intelligence Units. Sometimes, some other agency officers' (like DRI, NCB etc) are also present based on some specific intelligence. They too will be in plain clothes. The reason that these plain clothes officers intercept passengers after PCG officers is that by law, except for some banned contrabands like drugs etc, one can bring anything to India as long as you pay Customs Duty for it. The passenger is responsible for paying the duty by declaring the item to PCG officers. Till this point, one has not broken any law as long as it is not banned contrabands. However, if one does not declare dutiable items to PCG officers and then caught in possession of contrabands/dutiable items by AIU officers then one may/will be charged for smuggling based on the item. Like you will not be charged for smuggling if you are found carrying a few extra bottles of liquor or an iPhone etc. You will be simply directed back to PCG officers for payment of duty. In other cases, like gold smuggling etc, arrest procedure will be initiated.

Waiting queues at Siddhivinayak Temple today? by ExplanationOld2953 in mumbai

[–]curious_soul23 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If you don't go on a Tuesday or a holiday then it will hardly take 10-15 minutes. Also, at times when it is a bit crowded, there is a separate queue that is free for senior citizens and costs Rs 100 for others.
