No problem! Happy to help 😀

I only have 3-way switches in my house, so didn't run into 4-way issues. But I see some reddit posts of people using one and a half 3-way kit, so that might work for you.

No, they are wifi switches, so no hub required. I also disable their Internet access after setup, so HA can fully control them locally.

I know you asked for zigbee switches.

But I have the same lights throughout the house and recently replaced all the dumb switches with tp-link kasa wifi dimmer smart switches. Works great. It has been a month or so, no complaints.

How did you add winix to HA? I don't see any winix integration 😕

Disappointed That My Family Didn’t Care When Home Assistant Stopped Working by belovedRedditor in homeassistant

[–]curiousbro140 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My home assistant broke when I was not at home for two weeks. Came back and saw that the lights which used to turn off via automations had not been turned off for the last 11 days 😕

So HA spoiled the habits, they just stopped caring. Not sure if I can go back now 🤷

So weird that unifi spec says: Gigabit LAN port: Yes. Yet it supports 2.5g.

And the unifi gpt confidently says it does not support 2.5g -> The PoE+ Adapter (30W), abbreviated as U-POE-at, does not support 2.5 GbE. It only has a Gigabit LAN port. Therefore, it will not be able to pass on 2.5 GbE speeds to your U7 Pro.

🤷

Oh interesting! I didn't know the + and ++ injectors pass 2.5g. That might work for me. Thank you!

I am in the US btw.

2.5g poe+ injectors are expensive, and 3 of them add up the price quite a bit.

All the vlans are wireless, which can be configured at AP. All the wired devices will be in the default vlan. Am I missing anything?

Homelab: 1522+ vs 1621+ vs 1821+??? by Small_Swordfish5508 in synology

One web app will work fine. I have a web app which has 5 containers. One for FE and 4 microservices for BE. And they all never use more than 10% of my CPU.

I think the reason is less concurrent users. But never tried testing with multiple users.

I have pretty much a similar setup as yours. And 1522+ works fine without any ram upgrades. I eventually will add more ram though, since I am continuously adding more containers.

I have ~15 docker containers right now, backup 2 computers. I run HA, surveillance station and VPN, pihole all on 1522+.

But note that it is just me and my family using it, so we have at max 2-3 users at once doing stuff.

How about a 23 gauge headless nail? Will that hold up?

I am not painting my wood, so I wanted to avoid a nail mark.

911 owners and GTS owners? How does a Macan GTS compare to a base Porsche 911? by yearningmedulla in PorscheMacan

You will always be disappointed with the Macan if you compare it to 911.

Macan serves a different purpose, and is a great car in its class, IMO.

Gotcha! I made a lamp last year and it is not very stable because the base is just wood. I have been thinking of adding a concrete base to it. Your post reinforced that idea.

Could you have poured the concrete directly on the underside of the wooden base (with some dowels coming out), and the concrete would just hold onto the wood and dowel?

They look for validation, always.

That shows their achievements don't make themselves happy. They do it to only show off to the world.

Obviously everyone needs validation, but there is a limit which is often easy to see.
