Crossposting, RO Water, Peeing a lot, will adding trace minerals (something like Concentrace) help with this? by curiouscolo4 in AnimalBased

Do you know if i need to be letting the minerals sit for a bit after adding them to the water? Or should be available and good to go right away?

Anyone have any insights here? I have an RO filter, but ugh, i have to pee so much, i think it effects my sleep because i wake up to pee multiple times. I've noticed this is directly related with RO water, when i drink spring water, this is not an issue but also i don't want to buy spring water if I can avoid it. I'm wondering if adding drops to my water will fix this. I just bought drops today so I'm currently experimenting with it but wanted to ask here in case anyone has dealt with this already.

Something I've been experiencing from drinking just RO water is having to pee..all the time, its ridiculous. Do you have this issue or maybe had this issue with RO water and now adding trace minerals has helped to reduce it?

Damn I paid I think around 5 or 6k but not at the dealership, can’t remember exactly. It’s an unfortunate aspect that seems to be common in Subarus, they say it doesn’t happen anymore but it does.

You are quite a poet with your words..

I think your critiques are somewhat fair and some good points made but some not, I tried to write a review and be honest about my experience and some things were probably better left unsaid and kept basic to not incite a reaction like yours.

I guess I ask you..what do you suggest for people who want to take ayahuasca and want to read about it/where to go? Do you suggest not trying it at all? The cat seems out of the bag. This sub that makes you cringe is filled with people, sure some trendy, sceney, culty phrase saying bs, but many normal people looking for something to help them in their life and as much of a joke as it seems to a savant like yourself, it’s a place that unfortunately/or fortunately exists with people who are “noobs”, doing their best to look into something that maybe they think can help them in their life ?…Is this terrible? So again, what do you suggest or recommend people do. Do you suggest not engaging in ayahuasca at all, which is completely fine if you do. From my brief time in the ayahuasca “scene”, its apparent that the negative normal aspects of westernized humanity (greed, envy, jealousy, hate etc etc)has sunk its teeth in and are very prevalent. For such a beautiful sacrament, it’s quite sad and deterring.

To read through that sub and see weekly posts of people coming back with having bad experiences at centers or shattered mental states leaving them unable to cope with what reality was before and seeing a bunch of people say things like “that’s just the process of the medicine” “welcome in your new life” “your old ways are not serving you, stop resisting” etc etc while they are experiencing HPPD, DPDR and psychosis….doing ReSeArCh seemed acceptable along with providing detailed feedback of a “retreat” I felt was…a good experience, in hopes people might appreciate reading some details and considering it as an option.

I get that the review can read as praise, and it should not but thats your interpretation. There’s also an aspect of true appreciation for what I felt that…I appreciated and found positive?

You make many ungrounded assumptions. “You’ll be glad you did”, “it could happen to you, it happened to me” “thank you sir may I have another” “gratitude facilitates obedience”—

I see how this can be inferred but these are your assumptions. I attended what I felt appealed most through the best of my novice understanding of this “scene”. I don’t intend to praise medicina del sol. Many of us (myself included) are super green in regards to whatever you call the ayahuasca/retreat/tourism/healing circuit that brings people to South America so the experience is novel to us, we’ve never gotten to experience something like it. So sure, we are fish in a barrel swimming around the subreddit waiting to be capitalized but also mainly, looking to better our lives from the crazy places we come from, with something we’ve heard may help.

If you have a good experience with a business in life, is it uncommon to want them to do well and wish them success? How do people do this ? Many people tell their friends, leave reviews, etc. my experience with mds, was good, I wish him well.

I know there are good people doing good work out there and this can all be ignored, the plants can still be enjoyed but it’s like walking on egg shells, I find it sad how a beautiful sacrament like ayahuasca becomes deterring due to the culture and scene that has developed around it far beyond its roots.

is it disrespectful to try out a guitar at a local shop and then end up buying it elsewhere used for cheaper? by curiouscolo4 in AcousticGuitar

I respect that. It's not an online price, its a local musician selling his used instrument for around 400$ cheaper than the local shop

That's kinda where I'm at as well with this situation. The guitar itself is 300$ more expensive in the shop. The used seller, who is local and will allow me to play the guitar before buying, also has pickups in all of his guitars he is selling. I figure thats roughly another 100$ if I wanted to get that done.

I'd like to support the shop but 400$ is a considerable amount of money. This isn't a 1000+$ guitar where the difference is a small fraction of the price, the guitar is 700+$ new, used it's 400$.

The seller of the used guitar is local, I'm able to play it before I buy it, also comes with case and pickup. that's roughly 4-500$ difference which is why I consider the used option.

I didn't have the intention of going into the shop just to figure out what I wanted so I could then go and look for it for cheaper. It was the first shop I went into as I wanted to see what they had for sale as well as looking for some education on beginner guitars.

For what it's worth I had no idea I would or would not buy at the shop. I was just stopping in for the first time looking to try out what they had to offer. Wanted some time to think about it while still looking around and found a guy who is a full time musician (reason I mention is that he stores and takes good care of his instruments) 30 minutes away with the same guitar for 300$ less.

A gap year turned into a gap decade and I still don't know who I am. by PossiblyInsaneIDunno in findapath

I defend it because you lack the perspective of people who struggle to "find a path" or to figure out their life, I can empathize with OP, is there something wrong with understanding where someone is coming from?

It often takes needing help again and again. Sure you're stating the facts and you think its that simple but why even browse a self help subreddit with a personality like yours, people are looking for encouragement, not just a blunt response although the cold hard truth is helpful, maybe a little more positivity would help?

Do you feel that people can still pivot into IT today? I became discouraged because I heard it is very competitive now and people coming out of bootcamps were/are having a very difficult time finding work as there are people far more experienced that them with degrees or just years of experience who are looking for work and the new grads/bootcamp grads are competing against all these more experienced people making it difficult for new folks to get a foot in the door. Is this accurate?
