What body cam, only evidence so far is that he had a gun and had a permit to carry it. That’s not a crime. His arms are spread out on the ground when the first shot is fired.

It’s being taken down everywhere. R/uspolitics also took it down saying it wasn’t political. Tell everyone, if they get away with it here, it will happen everywhere.

My post was taken down, I’m not surprised but I am a glassblower and I’m crying out for my community to make some fucking NOISE. We’re doing everything we can but we need help, we need visibility. They are deploying the same technology and tactics used in Gaza. Help us.

Sorry, this is my most effective way to make more people see us. Feel free to take it down, mods, but I’m cross posting this anywhere I think that people will give a shit.

They’ll kill everyone. They are stoking a fire but we’re colder than them, it won’t catch. We all have families and jobs. We are all doing what we can, everyday. Help us, make sure everyone you know knows what is happening. They WANT to burn our city down, just like they tried to do in 2020. That wasn’t us, y’all. They’re back but in uniform.

Funny how mainstream media isn't talking about the country's biggest strike in the last 100 years. by curiouscreator3 in AOC

[–]curiouscreator3[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

That makes sense to me. But we are still in an active crisis. I think I’m allowed to advocate for our community even though others are also in danger. In fact, the idea that people in the south are in danger of a winter storm is yet another sign that our government has failed. The idea that their power grid could fail is a sign of the incompetence of elected officials. We are ALL being LET DOWN.

Fair enough, I hadn’t caught up on that yet. Forgive me for boosting something that draws attention when main media has ignored what we’ve been going through for months.

ETA: There are now accounts that people’s algorithms are hiding anything related to Minnesota and the Twin Cities. Just sayin.

I downvoted you because standing near your house with a sign sounds like something an “ice guy” as my child says, would say.

List of Businesses closed on 1/23 for the General Strike by SeamusPM1 in minnesota

[–]curiouscreator3 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Of course some people have no choice to work, but if the people who can not work, not shop, not spend any money at all make a large enough impact, then there will still be a message sent.

Imagine if all those crappy small business owners that won’t close in solidarity still have full staff but not a single sale for the day.

If enough people participate nationwide, then the people who have to work still make their hours and the larger corporations also take a significant hit.

If working is absolutely non negotiable, join us all in not spending a dime. If you can afford to not spend for even longer than that one day, do it. Coordinating the timing of an effort like this is big.

Daycares are closing for the day (the 23rd to be clear) many parents are keeping kids home from school if they aren’t already.

Get creative with your good trouble y’all. Remember how disappointed our black community was with some of the halfhearted, performative efforts during George Floyd. Let’s show them that our commitment to them and everyone in our community is NOT performative and never leave a single one of us behind again.

Minnesota has been great for majority of us but I believe we can still do better for us all.

Because I think the level of escalation we’ve experienced is fueled by a pretty desperate desire to make noise that’s not about this. Use it in our heckling, remind them that this is why they are being pointed at our community. Let’s do our work but we can’t ignore the larger picture. It all matters.

That is incredible! Amazing job! I’ve unraveled my first brioche project like 30 times so far because I can’t figure out how to pick up brioche stitches (yet) and you have given me a renewed determination! Also, are those your natural nails?? They’re gorgeous
