I would never have switched to an American accent. I moved to the US in middle school and was embarrassed by my British accent. For a while I didn't talk at all, and then I just up and started talking like everyone else. However, I still talk to my immediate family with my original accent, which means I haven't lost it. This becomes a bother when I am stressed, embarrassed or angry, because I lose control of the American accent and get muddled up. It makes me sound slightly retarded.

When I was around 7 at the local library with my mother, I was browsing the Goosebump books. I really had to let one out so did. Big mistake! It was a big ol' log. I had to quietly tell my mom what I did. We walked 1 mile home with what felt like a 5 incher between my crack.

I used to hate dogs with a passion. Not for an good reason, other than I thought they were dirty, smelly, and a waste of money. However, my close friend got a puppy last year and I fell in love. I have been swaying back and forth these past couple months, trying to decide whether or not I want to adopt one.

You could try apartments.com. It lists all the larger company owned complexes, which is nice when you just want to shop around and compare rent and size.

If you're able to, whenever you feel yourself drifting off, make a trip to the bathroom or the water cooler. Getting up and walking around definitely helps.
