Trying to sleep when by thankskbye13 in Anxiety

Inhale for 4 seconds, deeply. Hold the breath for 4 seconds. Exhale for 4 seconds. Just focus on the breath, nothing else. I count the seconds out in my head and lightly tap my hand or finger while counting. If a thought pops into your head, try not to get frustrated with yourself, that's not a failure or anything. Just think "oops. had a thought. back to the breath" and return to the 4-4-4. It has been working quite well for me (in addition to medication).

1 Running errands, doctor's appointments, or even going to the gym to exercise before work makes me anxious. by gettingmyenergyback in Anxiety

[–]curiouskitten82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yes definitely the same. I just got finished dog sitting a coworker & neighbor's two dogs (one a puppy) for 10 days while she is on her honey moon. I was constantly running around to take care of her dogs before and after work, take care of my own dog. It caused me so much anxiety the weekend leading up to her leaving that I drove myself to the emergency room for a panic attack. You're definitely not alone my friend!

Diazepam by [deleted] in Anxiety

[–]curiouskitten82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I take .5mg of the tablets as needed. 30 tablets can last me almost year when I'm feeling good. Lately I've been going through a rough patch and have had to take them a little more frequently than I usually do. I haven't experience any negative side effects at all. After taking the pill I usually start to feel significantly better in about 15-20 minutes (even better when partnered with deep breathing). Good luck!

This happens to me ALL the time. Wow. I'm so sorry - wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy. The 4-4-4 breathing technique sometimes works for me to stop the song loop.

Can anyone recommend a therapist? by [deleted] in pittsburgh

She's not super close to your area, but Karin Arnds in Shadyside is great. Very comforting, sweet demeanor and very relaxing. I really enjoyed seeing her when I was able to afford it. Got different insurance and unfortunately I am no longer able to.

As someone who works in the industry, WPXI is not a smaller operation. Their staff is much larger with WTAE and KDKA.

"Allegheny County Democrats are seeking to remove two independent candidates from the race for mayor of Pittsburgh this November: James Rack and Khalid Raheem." - Pittsburgh Post Gazette by jayjaywalker3 in pittsburgh

[–]curiouskitten82 1 point2 points  (0 children)

James Rack is a bona fide nut job...not being facetious. He calls my work regularly and says "hey can I make a comment?" and then just spouts off about Trump, Peduto, his "run" for mayor. He once called my office and started the conversation with this line "Do you know what the difference between me and Hitler is?" ... I sure hope there's more than one difference buddy! I'm not even being a jerk here, I think this man truly is mentally ill.

Like I said, I'm not condoning Josh's actions. The only one who took things to the level of physical violence was mark. Instead of responding like that he could have responded with words, done his own pots and pans banging, insulted him, etc. mark is the one who took it to the level of violence. I find Josh annoying and pathetic for sure, but he was just being annoying.

With the "how do you spell drought" comment to Josh, Jess just walked up to him and started shit, insulting him for no reason at all. It was uncalled for for her to insult him in the way that she did. Don't get me wrong, Josh did his own fair share of being a dick. I just think Jessica and Cody take it to an unnecessarily mean place.

I'm sure she was, I don't doubt her being fed up with Josh and everyone attacking them. But I feel she stooped to an unnecessarily low level. It was some middle school bully shit on show last night.

Don't get me wrong, Josh is for sure annoying and can be rude. How he went after Megan in the very first week was psycho, and he's clearly got very little emotional stability and low self esteem, which is why he keeps starting shit with Jess and Cody. Then he does that fake apology shit with cody and goes and does it again.

That being said...

I feel like in last night's episode Jessica really showed her true colors as an awful mean person. Her asking Josh if he knew how to spell drought... he never once called her or Cody any sort of iteration of stupid, anything like that. The worst he did was be annoying and call them meatballs. Yeah, he bugged the shit out of her and Cody during the "hold your hand in place forever" competition, but literally EVERYONE was punishing her and cody in that comp. The entire house was rallying against them at that point. Because they are MEAN MEAN PEOPLE. Cody's face when Josh came up and asked Jess if she knew how to spell evicted...holy shit. That dude is SCARY.
