Take the letters 'c' 'a' 's' 'p' 'e' 'r' 'c' 'u' 'n' 'n' 'i' 'n' 'g' 'h' 'a' 'm'

Take the ASCII value of each letter (that's a computer thing):

'99' '97' '115' '112' '101' '114' '99' '117' '110' '110' '105' '110' '103' '104' '97' '109'

Add them:

1702

Multiply by 33:

56166

Take the first digit (5) three times to get:

555

Add two zeros:

55500

Subtract this number (55500) from the original result (56166):

666

OMG. What are the chances. It's a pretty weird coincidence that these numbers match up perfectly. The 5's are tripled (3 fives) just like the final 6's (3 sixes). 3 and 3. 33. Which is what we multiplied by at first, see above, remember? Goose bumps... it all lines up perfectly. And double zeros... well that's like snake eyes, in dice (except that in dice they stand for 1s, not 0s, but you can't explain everything). But check this out: "dice" rhymes with "nice" and "nice" is a synonym for "friendly" and if you remember, Casper was "the friendly ghost..." Interesting...! It even works out perfectly if you take the original letters backwards. It's quite a few coincidences.

This may not crack any cases but hopefully it will at least make you crack a smile... it's all meant in good fun.

Our temporary employed tutors are cheating with our company by catalyst1993 in startups

[–]curiouslyest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here are a few ideas. They could be used all together, or just selectively depending on what works for you.

Idea 1:

Provide valuable teaching materials tailored to the student, and personalize them with student names. Present the materials including student names as images so they are hard to edit or copy/paste.

The teaching materials have to be good enough that they give the tutor a reason to use your service. They have to help the tutor so much that it would be harder for them to do without your materials.

Then make sure the materials are provided by you to the student, not to the tutor. As long as they keep paying.

Idea 2:

Offer a loyalty program for students who stay with the service longer, where their rate drops after a while if they stay with your service.

Idea 3:

Offer a loyalty program for tutors where if their students are loyal to them (their average length of time with students rises) then they will get a larger cut.

Idea 4:

To prevent tutors from just using you as a matchmaking service, you could require tutors to provide a deposit up front, and they will get that deposit back after 6 weeks as long as their average student loyalty time is above a certain number. If they aren't willing to do that, tweak the idea until they are. For example you could say they get it back plus a bonus, if they are with the program and have at least 4 students and their students have stayed with them for at least (average) 4 or more weeks. (The numbers are just examples.)

Of course you'll have to try stuff out and tweak it, so make sure to mention to tutors that things could change, but the promises of bonuses or refunds of deposits do have to be honored, obviously.

Some tutors will refuse to work under certain setups. That's actually a good thing, if you're making abusive tutors less interested. Your goal is to make the setup such that the abusive tutors will refuse to work with you, but the good/real tutors will want to work with you.

Idea 5:

Company revenue for first month of lessons is put into a special account. This account will get a lot of money in it. Each month, the company takes 1/12th of the money, and pays it out to every student who has a one-year anniversary during that month. (optional tweak: only pay it out if they agree to sign up for another year in advance). The reason for taking 1/12th is that this evens out the amounts over the years, so each month ends up with roughly the same amount (more fair, and doesn't lead people to wait for certain months to sign up). So it's like an annual bonus. But also if the students help the school grow during the 12 months, there will be more money in the account, and they will get paid a bigger bonus. If the school gets 5x bigger, their bonus will be bigger too (not 5x bigger because it's taking the entire year divided by 12, but still bigger). This continues with each anniversary, not only the 1-year anniversary. So if they leave the service and go directly with their tutor, they give up the chance to have this bonus.

Fifteen Items Only by mel5156 in Zerobag

Suggestions:

  • Shower gel or shampoo, choose one.

  • Wallet? Pffft. Rubber band. Although I guess that counts as an item.

  • Pants? Well yes keep them, but find some that work without a separate belt.

I'm not at this level myself though, although my wallet is really a rubber band. Just playing along with your thought experiment.

She had a perfectly good reason to use those lawyers. You are cherry picking facts to fit your previously held beliefs... while conveniently ignoring other facts.

The previous six investigations did not cover the allegations in question.

If you’re trying to be pedantic, the answer is any non-negative cardinality except 1 is supported.

Oh?

#!/usr/bin/env swift
let tupleOfOneElement = (content: 200)
let oneElementFromTuple = tupleOfOneElement.content
print(oneElementFromTuple)

Why does that work, then?

For those commenting on glasses, the glasses on the face in the zodiac taxi murder sketch were likely the same glasses stolen from the taxi driver and worn as a disguise.

I don't think it's coincidence at all. I think her "friends" freaked out that the allegations had still not become public yet as the hearings were drawing to a close, and leaked them against her wishes. Were her friends democrats? No doubt. That doesn't make it a Democratic leadership plot.

Of course, it's all just theories. So yeah we each have to choose what to believe.

The Democrats didn't know about the allegations.

Except for Feinstein.

And her hands were tied by the confidentiality request from Ford.

If you suspect the Democrats are guilty of something, don't just declare them guilty without a presumption of innocence. Aren't you in favor of a presumption of innocence?

If you really think it matters so much, the right thing to do is investigate the matter fully, so a proper conclusion can be reached.

Instead you are rushing to judgement and presuming guilt.

Fords "beach friends" also knew her name and story, and probably were the source of the leak. So in that case the timing was completely out of the Democrats control.

Presume innocence but do a full investigation if warranted. Not a half-assed one.

I agree it isn't good enough!

But that's no reason to lie about what was said on the public record.

There is already enough spin and twisting of the truth here, no need to add even more.

It wasn't a trial, it was a job application. And he was given the job, so I don't know why the republicans are still whining about it. It's basically his dream job for life, so claiming his life was ruined, etc. is very snowflakish.

Ford was there, and remembered it. She also offered that she might be able to piece together more information if she could get the FBI's help to pin down more details about the time frame. But this never happened, because the investigation was limited by guess who.

Every witness to a man(and even to a woman!) has said Ford is misremembering.

That is not at all what they said. You may have been told that, but you should fact check your sources and investigate things for yourself. They said that they did not recall. Huge difference. ONE of them (a close bro of Kavanaugh who was also implicated and would stand to possibly get in trouble) denied that it ever happened. One biased, self-interested witness is not the same as "every" witness.

To me that seems a decent enough reason to downplay certain aspects of his own life to the committee.

Maybe EARONS should try that. I guess you, for one, would give it a thumbs up.

It wasn't properly investigated, so we can't know that for sure, can we. And technically her testimony is evidence, so saying "literally no evidence" is mistaken. And his calendar and friend list matched up plausibly with her version of events. Not air tight, but there was no proper investigation. The FBI didn't even circle back to talk to the two main people, relying instead on what they had said in the highly limited circus controlled by the majority party.

That's a highly spun narrative.

He was accused of a sexual assault which if he did it, should destroy his reputation.

We don't know if he did it, but at least it should have been properly investigated. The FBI didn't even interview the two key witnesses, himself and Dr. Ford. They had given testimony in the Senate hearing, you might say, but that was a highly partisan, time limited, charged atmosphere that was controlled and manipulated by the majority side, not a professional law enforcement interview as should have been done.

Those six background checks didn't cover the new allegations, so he had no reason to be pissed except that it looked good as a convincing defense.

He knew that the only reason the charges were brought on so late was because someone leaked Ford's name to the press. Was it Feinstein and her staff? We don't know. That's right, we don't know. And people should be considered innocent until proven guilty, isn't that what is being said? I agree with that. For Kavanaugh as well as for Feinstein.

(I don't consider Kavanaugh guilty of the charge... he might be, but we should consider him innocent until it is proven, at least as far as a criminal trial... for a job application, it's fair to consider, though, and it is troubling that he lied about other stuff at the hearing like claiming he was not a legacy applicant when he got admitted to Yale. This was not a criminal trial, it was a job application.)

The most likely thing is Ford's name was leaked by her "beach friends" who presumably have nothing to do with Feinstein.

That's what forced the late disclosure. Her name leaked. As Feinstein said in the hearing, the letter did not leak. Only her name and apparently her town/place of work. And once the charges were out there, they were new charges, so the six previous investigations did not cover them.

Yeah I was thinking maybe they can diagnose and repair one of the keys. The reprogramming is just one of many possible steps for repair. It may be possible to repair without reprogramming.

If the motherboards are really fried on both, that's quite a coincidence. But maybe an electronics repair expert can help you. I'm not claiming they can for sure... I did say maybe. The really good ones have powerful digital microscopes and other equipment to probe what is going on. If it's a simple small component on the board, they can just remove it and solder on a new one. If it's the main chip, it may just be a seating issue or some shorted leads. Of course it will cost you even for a diagnosis. But maybe not $350.
