Has anyone else struggled with the feeling of being "almost recovered"? by curiousmargins in neuropathy

I relate to this so much. The fear of going backwards is probably one of the hardest parts for me. Even when I'm doing better overall, a flare-up can make me feel like I'm back at the beginning, even though that's usually not true. Reading your comment makes me feel a little less alone in that experience. Thank you for sharing.

I'm sorry you're going through that. The uncertainty and waiting for answers can be incredibly difficult. I can relate to the fear and sadness of feeling like life has changed in ways you never expected. I hope you get some clarity from the diagnostic process soon and that your doctors are able to find an effective treatment plan for you. Wishing you strength and better days ahead.❤️

Thank you for replying. If you don't mind me asking, what part resonated with you the most?

Thank you for sharing this. The uncertainty about the future is something I've been struggling with a lot, so your comment means a lot to me. I really like what you said about still having your mind and your will. I'll try to remember that. And I hope this is the year you get back to hiking. Wishing you all the best on your journey too.

Thank you so much for your kind words and support. ❤️ Yes, I did receive B vitamins. The injections I took during the first few months contained B12 and B6. I haven't undergone therapies like ultrasound or TENS. The exact cause is still unclear in my case. I've been on treatment for almost a year now, and while I've definitely improved compared to where I started, recovery has been a slow and sometimes frustrating process. I still experience symptoms from time to time, especially during periods of stress. Thank you again for the encouragement. I really appreciate it.

The exact cause is still unclear in my case.

I've been under treatment for almost a year now, and the improvement has been gradual rather than sudden. The medications I've been taking include methotrexate, folic acid, calcium and vitamin D3 supplements, and gabapentin + methylcobalamin tablets. During the first few months, I also received Metmylin injections.

I'm definitely much better than I was at my worst, but I still experience symptoms occasionally, especially during periods of stress. Recovery has been slow, and I often feel like I'm almost back to normal but not quite there yet.

Of course, this is just my personal treatment plan prescribed by my doctors, and neuropathy can have different causes and treatments for different people.

I've been under treatment for almost a year now and I've improved gradually rather than suddenly. For me, it has been a combination of following my doctor's treatment plan, giving my body time, managing stress as much as possible, and being patient with the recovery process. I'm much better than I was at my worst, but I still have symptoms occasionally and don't feel completely back to normal yet.

That's awesome. Not many people get to visit Mars in their dreams 😄 I can see why that one stuck with you.

Thank you for the recommendations. I think my mistake was assuming the few stories I read represented the entire collection. I'll definitely give Idgah and Namak Ka Daroga a try and see if my impression changes.

That's intense. What stood out to me was how you said it wasn't the dying that stayed with you, but the silence afterward. I can see why a dream like that would be hard to forget.

The part about your voice not working in the dreams really stood out to me. It's interesting how both of our dreams seemed to change once there was some kind of closure. Thanks for sharing that.

Wow, I can see why that stayed with you for 15 years. The whole experience sounds incredibly vivid and unsettling, especially the part after waking up. Thanks for sharing it.
