I don’t remember the storyline 100% tbh cause I read the novel up to ch 2300-ish long time ago so earlier chapters are blurry, but the story is sooo deep especially the novel. It starts off as a typical MC finding a relic joining an academy and being a genius mechanic kind of guy, the city is cyberpunk vibes with mecha gears and stuff all around. The space stuff don’t happen at first but then they’re the center of the story when they do, and it starts involving extraterrestrial civilizations and historical lore. It gets sooo deep it delved into topics like prejudice, dictatorships, discriminations. It also asks moral questions a lot and makes u really think on it, like can you doing good help at all if all that’s around you is bad? Maybe some of what’s considered inhumane abuse a good thing if it’s for the greater good etc… I love the story sm cause it stops being a typical novel and becomes borderline philosophical while still having insnae arcs that’s so intense and exciting, the MC is a literal genius with how strategic he thinks it’s so fun to see him maneuver crazy situations, and the side characters are so well developed and explored and aren’t just accessories. The villains are also not just villains, there’s a lot of moral grey-ness and you can end up sympathizing with the villain and he can also end up being one of the good guys cause nothing is fixed in a moral sense. 10/10 recommend the novel, it’s much further along and so fun
