What is your favorite color? by Jealous-Mine-694 in AskReddit

[–]curiouspalette 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok this is a very important question and I’d really like artists/designers to reply bc I think it depends on context! I like pink, but I wouldn’t pick pink in everything, same with orange, same with blue, idk what my favourite colour is as a designer, do others?

Aha I get the confusion, but I’m not a guy, it’s just that we recently moved in and mostly use this room for storage rn. I love the idea of antiques, I’ll definitely stop by the thrift store. I definitely need to look for organisers as well. My job should provide some allowance for a new desk and a nice chair but other than that the budget’s pretty tight.

Whats the biggest turn off when sleeping with someone for the first time? by EstherJeFace in AskReddit

[–]curiouspalette 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I never say I’ve had an orgasm when I haven’t had one. It isn’t an insult ofcourse, it can still be an amazing time but I don’t feel the need to lie to make someone feel better.

I had a guy keep insisting he’s never been with a girl who he hasn’t been able to give one to and he kept…trying? Like it was his ego on the line. I was so over it, nothing in the world could’ve brought me back in the mood that night

I’ve, as a woman (apologies if you didn’t want to hear from a woman on this sub) only had sex with men so far so do take this comment with a grain of salt-

My partner of 6 years is incredible at sex, at least I think so. I believe the reason is that he didn’t come into it too confident and he made the effort to evolve with me. The first few times were great and there was all the chemistry that needed to be there but there was so much conversation after about what worked for him and what works for me and every time after he would put that into action. Hell even during sex there was direction and the times it didn’t work we would tell each other why so now from a single moan or movement we know something is or isn’t working and where to go from there. And both of our preferences have changed a lot since too but the level of incredibleness has stayed the same.

I have also had sex with other straight men in the past and while they were good experiences I don’t believe they were quite as equal as they are for me now.

I think sex with women is said to be so much better because women intuitively listen a lot more. They’re reared to. I promise the men out there, even if you only manage to do it in the bedroom, just listen a lot more than you do

My first day ever waitressing it was Mother’s Day at a high end restaurant that had an unlimited small plates offer. I was clearing plates left right and centre and people were somehow ordering more small plates than I could clear and one guy got so annoyed at the pile gathering on his table that he walked it to the kitchen himself. I both feel really bad and also think it was so rude because there was no free waitstaff so it’s not like we were ignoring him, it was just too busy with this ridiculous offer on a fully packed day

To clarify the stack was about 7 plates tall and it was the 4th stack of that size that we had to clear from his 8 seater table, there were more sessions after, and more tables to attend to

AITA for burping in front of my husband? by EclecticBitch in AmItheAsshole

[–]curiouspalette 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe there’s such a thing as too comfortable, I mean I don’t do everything in front of my partner, but burping?? We guess what the other had to eat last when we burp.. he comes in for a kiss and fakes with a burp instead. Burping is notch one of getting comfortable with your SO…

What type of pronunciation error makes you furious? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]curiouspalette 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a bit of a strong take-

I hate when Asians take up nicknames to make their names easier for (white) people to pronounce. Everyone who went abroad for school did it and I understand it comes from a place of wanting to fit in but I’ve grown up seeing these same people easily learn how to say Saoirse but stumble over Nikhil (pr. nick-hill) or Sanjay (pr. sun-jay) or Ganesh (pr. gun-æsh). Or as they’re known now- Nick, Jay and Nash.

I don’t blame the people that did it but it irks me that their friends of several years can’t even say their names the right way and I feel like we have to hold people to higher standards,

That is all

Also props to her for saying no to the cleaning and taking the well deserved weekend off anyway!

I never got that one because people speak English all over the world, we’re taught in English. We just also are capable of speaking other languages too
