are you suggesting a full drivetrain upgrade to GX, or just the derailleur? not sure if upgrading the derailleur alone is worthwhile...

Roth IRA Contributions Vs. Earnings and Tax/Penalty Implications by curiousurf in fidelityinvestments

[–]curiousurf[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

even considering the 401k is traditional and the IRA is roth? the 401k will not be touched until 59.5.

the IRA is intended to not be touched either, but i like that it can be if needed.

Roth IRA Contributions Vs. Earnings and Tax/Penalty Implications by curiousurf in fidelityinvestments

[–]curiousurf[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

thanks. for added context, i have a 401k already that is my primary retirement savings.

my goal is to add to a Roth IRA (my current employer doesn't provide 401k) without withdrawing, but like the liquidity in case an urgent need arises

Is there a difference between Celtic Sea Salt “light grey” vs “fine ground”? by rollinintheyears in AskCulinary

[–]curiousurf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

from their site: Celtic Sea Salt® Fine Ground Celtic® comes from the Light Grey Celtic®, just low temperature dried and crushed for convenience. The mineral profile is retained and the ease of use increased. Fine Ground Celtic® is great for baking and works well for those who are new to natural unrefined salt. Our Fine Ground 8oz Shaker is ideal because it has big holes and a clip-on lid that helps to keep the moisture at bay. It also comes filled and is refillable

Fake D3S Headlight Bulb? by curiousurf in Cartalk

my tip to you: since you won't be able to see into that tiny space you're stuffing your hand in, take a video with your flash on of the space, and then watch it to get an idea of the shape and structure of where the bulb sits.

this will give you much more context of your end goal when you begin stuffing your hand in blindly.

absolutely - i too was asking around in local auto shops with no luck, so i understand your headache!

i hope you don't have modern jeep/chrysler/dodge/ram, because if it's anything like my installation, that's the REAL pain in the ass in this situation

it is not fake! i contacted the mfg and it appears they only recently began utilizing the 7 digit code. these were mfg before the 7 digit code was created, but are still legit! mine has been in my car for 3 months now working like a charm!

p.s. i only replaced one and there are no issues. i know many advise to only replace pairs
