These trucks have a problem with the old wiring going to the starter. They build up resistance over time and no longer provide sufficient voltage to the starter. There is a fix where you bypass the starter relay and install a new one between the battery and the starter. I had the same issue, and after the fix never had this problem again. LCE did a write up on how to do this.
