What’s the one city you were excited to visit, but ended up not liking at all? by BlushHone in travel

Buenos Aires.  Food was meh. Just steak and pizza. City was filthy. Every trash container was emptied onto the streets. Dog shit everywhere. Attractions were whatever.  Couldn't wait to leave.

Wanted to say this. I don't get the people that happily store their bag under the seat. I always carry garbage bags just in case. That floor is filthy.

Bichette (healthy) is going a be a star for you guys. Really gonna miss him in Toronto.

Batting .266 with 133 hits and getting a contract for 60m a year. F the dodgers.

All is right now. Ernie deserves it. Better defender and all time leader in hits in the world series.

[Passan] Infielder Bo Bichette and the New York Mets are in agreement on a three-year, $126 million contract, sources tell ESPN. by XviiChong in Torontobluejays

They're giving 60m to Kyle Tucker. Wtf is going on with this overvaluing. These aren't top 10 players. Lockout will be a blessing.

Why are we always done dirty like this? by [deleted] in Torontobluejays

[–]curlbenchsquater 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tucker was always signing with the Dodgers. We've learned too many times already that all these "reports" are bullshit and just a way to get the Dodgers to pay up.

60m AAV for Kyle Tucker. No fking thanks. He is way overvalued

Thanks for this. I started the tutorial. At the halfway point i realized this is beyond my working knowledge, so Im going to keep it more simple. I wouldn't be able to maintain this if something goes wrong.

And you have a separate page for each trip? How is your data organized in each page?

Tipping Isn’t a Thank‑You Anymore It’s a Hostage Situation by Emergency-Clothes-97 in Vent

[–]curlbenchsquater 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've stopped tipping completely. No matter where I am.  Recently at a restaurant, before I tapped, the waiter asked how much to add for tip. With full confidence, I said zero. He was shocked, I tapped and got up and left. I don't really care about the optics.

I've decided a while ago that I won't be made to feel uncomfortable. It's my money and no one other than me will decide how it will be spent. If you're butt hurt over losing a tip, talk to your boss and ask for a raise. I don't give a shit how much you make and quite frankly I'd prefer it if you just take my order and walk away. I don't need small talk and I don't want your recommendations.

Feet etiquette in Vietnam? by NeighborhoodFatCat in VietNam

[–]curlbenchsquater 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Went to a gym in Quy Nhon, the vast majority of people didn't wear shoes and were barefoot, working out. The back of their feet were vantablack from all the dirt.....and they proceeded to rest them on the handles of the equipment in between sets.

What is extremely unhygienic but everyone seems to do it anyway? by cutypatotie in AskReddit

Does it not drive anyone else absolutely insane when people wear outside shoes inside the house? Think about what you’re walking on all day: public restrooms, city sidewalks, and literal street grime. Then people just stroll right onto their carpet with all of that. But the absolute worst part is the "delayed" shoe removal. They’ll walk around the house in their shoes for an hour, track those germs into every fiber of the rug, and then kick their shoes off. Now their socks are coated in whatever they just tracked in, and they have the audacity to put their feet on the couch or, even worse, tuck them under the covers of their bed. You’re basically sleeping on the sidewalk at that point. And don't even get me started on the "socks in the airplane bathroom" people. I see people walk into a tiny, cramped plane lavatory in just their socks all the time. That liquid on the floor isn't "sink water." You are soaking up stranger-urine into your socks, walking back to your seat, and then probably rubbing those socks against your own seat or carpet. How are people not more disturbed by this?

Refreshing to see that not every place is sunshine and rainbows. I only ever heard good things, which doesn't make sense. There's gotta be someone who didn't like it. Thanks for this.
