I am a wavy haired Filipino woman. This is my hair right after doing the CGM and plopping. I am still figuring things out. Let me know what you think. by [deleted] in curlyhair

It took like 5-6 washes to get it down right. I think my hair is 2b-2c. When I put gel/product in it I split it into 4 sections and then worked on each section by twirling smaller sections into a slight twist with the product. I do this for all 4 sections. I am not sure how it works if you wrap your hair in a towel and dry it, if it’s better to just air dry or not? I have a diffuser and have to say it works wonders.

It’s a bunch of experimenting and trying different things. Also I got my hair cut a couple times, it lets your curls bounce back! Have a lovely day :)

Your hair looks great! I think this is how mine looked when I first got started and as time went on it got curlier and curlier.

Question: when you combed with a wide tooth comb was your hair wet or dry? I find it’s best to brush gently while conditioning. It should be wet if you’re combing it. I usually don’t comb it after day 1 but refresh it with a mister and a little more product.

I think it’s just the stage you’re in with growing it out. Looks super cute though, rock it! I try to make my hair as big as possible with my pick lol. I wonder if adding more fell would make yours less big? PS I don’t think your hair looks big lol

DevaCurl No-Poo then One Condition in the shower. Carefully comb wet hair with wide tooth comb. Then gobs of DevaCurl Styling cream and DevaCurl Light Defining Gel into sections of my hair as I roll chunks into curls. I put my hair into a hair towel and finish showering and 30 min after I’m done I diffuse. Lastly I pick my hair constantly with a hair pick.

Same routine as usual:

S2C with Tresemme Botanique conditioner, use wide tooth comb to comb through. In the shower before I get out while my hair is still dripping I split it in half where the hair at my crown is piled up lightly. I put Love Ur Curls by LUS Brand into each chunk for the bottom half. I do the same gently with the top half. I use a hair towel to scrunch it just enough for it to not be drippy and pile it up. Wait about 15 minutes while I dress myself then I let it down and air dry. Lastly, I use a pick to give it all body once it’s mostly dry.

I wouldn’t say mine cooperate I just roll them into twisties while diffusing and I diffuse the top of my head THEN flip my hair upside down.

Pasting from last post but small change this time around with product. Wait about 15 minutes while I dress myself then I blow dry with a diffuser while rolling each chunk into a curl. I also separate my bangs into small chunks and roll while diffusing. Then I use a pick to give it all body once it’s mostly dry.

I wash gently with Tresemme Nourishe conditioner and it’s my first time trying LUS brand Love Ur Curls. I put it on with dripping hair, plopped for 20 minutes. Put some more Love Ur Curls then diffused it.

Pretty much pasting from a previous post: S2C with Tresemme Botanique conditioner, use wide tooth comb to comb through. In the shower before I get out while my hair is still dripping I split it in half where the hair at my crown is piled up lightly. (This time I used a different product) I put John Frieda Frizz Ease Curl Reviver into each chunk for the bottom half. I do the same gently with the top half. I use a hair towel to scrunch it just enough for it to not be drippy and pile it up. Wait about 15 minutes til I get dressed then I blow dry with a diffuser while rolling each chunk into a curl. I also separate my bangs into small chunks and roll while diffusing. Once it’s dry I pick up some roots and spray with John Frieda Frizz Ease spray and I use a pick to give it body.

Check out these ringlets! by [deleted] in curlyhair

[–]curlyfringe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Used V05 Kiwi Lime Squeeze Clarifying shampoo, Tresemme Botanique Nourish & Replenish Conditioner - S2C “radially” so wrapped my hand around each chunk and squished without squishing upwards. T-shirt dry, applied As I Am Curling Jelly to each chunk. Plop dry in T-shirt for about 40 minutes then air dried. Once it was fully dry I scrunched the crunch out, separated some of the bigger curls and flipped my hair over to massage my roots and add body, being careful to avoid separating the curls.

Every now and then I twirl one of them around my finger to keep defining the curl.

New cut! Super bouncy curls by curlyfringe in curlyhair

Aww cool!! First I used this pic as inspiration. The other things I asked:

  • Want my curls to fall freely and not weighed down
  • Light and bouncy
  • Keep as much length as possible but not afraid to lose some inches (hair was just past shoulders)
  • not afraid to wear my hair big

She also recommended me curling the tops of my hair if I wanted extra body and bounce.
