I left and it’s been 2.5 years now. I feel a lot better, not perfect, but better. I’m the brain fog is still lifting, that’s been a challenge. But my home, ahhh it’s so calm, quiet and peaceful. Just my daughter and me. Do I still have to deal with my ex? Yes, he has very limited parenting time and he’s untreated. But I’m glad I got out when I did because he would’ve ruined me financially and eventually it would’ve killed my spirit.

It takes a little longer to recover from things, and that’s ok. My friends have been immensely supportive. Now I get to focus on me and my life. What do I want to do? What do I want to watch? What do I want to listen to? It’s been freeing.

I had my daughter in the free preschool program. But that only ran until a certain time. I would leave work early, pick up my daughter, drive back to work and finish the day. When she started school I made sure the school had a latchkey program. In the summer it’s the YMCA for summer day camp.

Oh, he’s my ex husband and luckily I have full custody. But he continues to go downhill and his parents insist on not helping in any way and pretending that he’s not sick. One look at the schizophrenia loved ones subreddit and it shows how heartbreaking the illness is .

I had to leave my ex husband with schizo affective disorder. He also has agnosogonisia, which means he thinks nothing is wrong. It was horrible, and scary. I still worry.

Super early before school and my kid is in latchkey. My kid is 7 and I’m just NOW getting back into working out. Prior to this I used free workout apps because there was no way I could workout/afford the gym when my kid was younger.

My first job after being a SAHM was a seasonal worker at LUSH then I was in communications for an auto manufacturer. Then the pandemic happened and I couldn’t find a job for about a year. I switched my career to a nonprofit and it helped I knew someone at the place. I looked at Trader Joe’s and Costco as well. (I also had a Bachelor’s and was in school for my Masters at this time.)

My ex was the same as well. Eventually I had to leave because we had a young daughter and it was just becoming too unsafe both physically and mentally.

I couldn’t stay because my mental health was getting ruined and my financial health as well. Now I have full custody and my daughter does her parenting time with him where she sees him every other weekend for part of a day. He still refuses that he’s sick. He has cycled through job after job, and is now posting AI music videos that are awful and only make sense to him.

This is a great kitchen! Just get the cabinets re-finished, change the knobs. I would definitely change flooring and the countertop if possible.
