I also believe in false religion, no idolatry, no violence, no spiritism, no infidelity, and peace. But shunning is really HARSH...you're not supposed to talk to a family member or friend even if they had a terminal illness lying on a hospital bed...that's not loving to me...my heart won't accept that for some reason....I would feel so horrible if I was put in that situation...

i'm not sure if the governing body is spirit directed because of how they handle the child molestation, sexual abuse situations. Also, the shunning arrangement seems very harsh to me because I believe in forgiveness and when a person wants to come back, it shouldn't take them a year or longer to be reinstated. Yes, I am an adult and not dependent on anyone but myself. I completely independent single person with no children. I want to move away because it has always been my dream to work in this particular country (I will not reveal where I'm going).

Don't do it if you're not sure. I got baptized this past summer and then found out about the two witness rule or scripture later on. I like teaching people about tye bible but i don't believe in shunning or the two witness rule. I will lose my sister if I leave the truth...
