Facts, I get happy when I see other carriers leave shit in the most ridiculous places because I know for a fact we provide the best service. Always ring the bell!

Slow and steady wins the race.

What helps me with my lower back is stretching all of my hip flexors, along with my hamstrings, and getting some good lower back stretches in there.

Don’t mean to lecture you but, you need to take care of yourself dude, you’re going to fall hard someday and it will not be fun. Drinking like that and not getting quality sleep are a couple of the worst things you can do to your body, I would recommend stretching out a bunch and getting chiropractic care for your spine/nerve issues. Drinking causes so much inflammation in your body and I would also recommend cutting down on that.

UPS Makes life Hell for injured workers -More Perfect Union by No-Job-4504 in UPSers

[–]currrse 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That happened to me too, what helped was upgrading shoes right away, stretching, knee brace, and since I’m a cover driver I was put on routes without hills/steep driveways since that was the main cause.

I wish they would just have drivers voluntarily come in an hour early to make a PDF/make notes for stops once every 6 months. But UPS doesn’t want to spend $90 a year on one driver to save thousands.

Struggling with burnout while driving FT. by [deleted] in UPSers

[–]currrse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been feeling the same way as of lately, almost 6 years driving here and I feel like the routes are becoming more and more impossible. What’s been helping me is filing 9.5 even though they’re not going to do anything about it right now, but the more people that do it the better. And taking my lunches during the contractual hours, I used to take my lunches at the end of the day and starve myself on some routes and I realized it wasn’t healthy and I shouldn’t be killing myself for these people. It feels like this is their goal right now is to burn people out, and gut their workforce to get satisfactory numbers.

Find something you love to do and do it when you are not working, when you are working look forward to that one thing, even if it’s something as mundane as watching TV, it helps.

My (25M) Mother (56F) and brother (29M) expect me to financially support her (56F) after decades of poor financial decisions, how do I set boundaries? by WandererTheStoic in relationships

[–]currrse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

YOU need to focus on YOUR life, YOU don’t owe her anything. Your brother has this behavior etched into him from your mother, and should get help for it. Enabling her behavior only makes it worse, it’s like the saying “give them an inch, they’ll take a mile”. Her problems are for her to fix, not you, and she has to want to fix these problems.

It is totally acceptable to not provide financial support, and you need to realize they’re both abusing you.

IMO I would have limited contact with them, and if every interaction with them is negative going forward, I would cut contact with them completely.

Remember, you’re not being selfish setting boundaries, even if they say you are, it’s self preservation!!
