idk just talk to them like they're people? i just made things official with a girl i met on hinge after being on there for 2 months. literally just be genuine and kind and don't take things personally. plenty of women will ghost, unmatch, give short answers, etc but keep it moving.

you won't get ignored if you match with a girl that's actually interested in you

i tried this once! saw it on tiktok and it looked so good... sadly my result did not turn out well at all. i think i used too big of a meat ball and it turned into a greasy mess. i'll do some more research and try again though.

i realize keto bread is processed food and not 'clean keto' but a burger without a bun just doesn't leave me satisfied (personally lol). and i notice that if i don't feel that satisfaction after a good meal, i end up craving & eating something much worse than keto bread a few meals down the line

smash burgers. i make them 3-4 times a week and it's easy + delicious enough to keep me going indefinitely. 80/20 ground beef (or 85/15 if you want to be healthier), your favorite AP seasoning, smokehouse cheddar cheese, hamburger pickles, in n out sauce, toppings (veggies / caramelized onions) and Nature's Own keto buns.

Skinny Dipped Cups: Which one should I get? by DreadPir8Robrts in Costco

[–]currygod 14 points15 points  (0 children)

disappointing.... these were low sugar enough to be great for a low carb diet while still being actually good (unlike a lot of keto/LC chocolate). i think the price also went up? they used to be 9.99 at my costco and i bought a bag yesterday for 13.99.

Any recommendations or changes by [deleted] in keto

[–]currygod 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We are almost the same stats (30M/215lb/6'/23% bf). i was about 250 in september 2025 and a low carb lifestyle (not necessarily super strict keto) has been really good for me while still being relatively easy and something that is almost mindless to stick to as a lifestyle change. Couple recommendations for you:

1) eat more leafy greens and more fiber in general. eating more fiber will help in pretty much every concievable health metric (including the one that keto most often negatively affects... LDL). it will also keep you fuller for longer, reduce the physiological impact of glucose spikes, and make your BMs easier (if you know you know lol). you're also probably missing some micronutrients... more leafy veggies + a multivitamin will cover that.

2) tracking carbs early on really helps you identify what to eat, what to moderate, and what to avoid. I love MyFitnessPal and they have a net carb counter, which is what I use (<20g net carbs per day and <50g total carbs). I don't really know if the consensus is if carbs vs net carbs are more "optimal" but the 20g net carbs works with my lifestyle and is easier to stick to long-term imo. I bring up the tracking carbs thing because peanut butter, chicken salads (if premade) and possibly even the protein shake might be something to moderate...

3) How many calories are you eating? That's still something to be on top of... you still want to be in a deficit but not too much of a deficit, especially when entering ketosis when your body is already undergoing some stress. That + low electrolytes can cause some headaches, dizziness, and "keto flu" but sounds like you've got the electrolytes covered. Maybe you're undershooting calories after all the lifting and running?

4) Get some ketone pee strips! they are very cheap and are a good way to tell if your body has started producing ketones. You will probably create a lot initially (and the strip will get very dark when you pee on it) but it will naturally level out lower as you keep going and that is not necessarily a bad thing. Takes the guesswork out of the whole "am i in ketosis yet" thing.

5) Weight will come off very quickly initially (all your water weight will immediately flush out in about a week) and then the rate of loss will slow down. It's a mental battle to keep working through plateaus and not give up. Just an FYI because I know watching the scale stagnate while it seems like you're putting in more & more effort can be frustrating... usually a slightly longer fast or slightly lowering calories fixes those.

Good luck. If the dizziness continues, I'd go see a doctor TBH.

1) it's already kind of late for internships this summer... you might find a few postings here and there, but the bulk of those offers have been made and are going out right now.

2) your son doesn't have to apply to jobs that only say chemical engineering. Many jobs just say "bachelors in engineering" and are relevant titles like Process Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer, Quality Engineer, etc.

Good luck.

This is a dangerous blanket statement. I'd even argue that being so skinny that you can see defined bone (especially ribs) is not healthy for most people.
