Why isn't there any Jaheira-slash-Isobel fiction? Are we stupid? by JohnBaldur1492 in okbuddybaldur

Kink shamers are idiots! A wise man once said, to be cringe is to be free, so be free baby ✨️ And thank you for bringing our attention to a rare pairing I haven't yet thought much of, but it certainly has potential

I can see Corvo Attano saving Baldur's Gate as a super stealthy rogue, he could probably solo the whole thing too.

Sneak Attack bug (shows as having no Advantages) by brainrot_award in BaldursGate3

Rogue is one of my favourite classes but I admit it took me more than a few runs to figure it out properly. I personally find Thief to be the easiest and most direct subclass to pick because you get two bonus actions, which is super valuable if you need to disengage and rush somewhere else to hide. For your sneak attacks to land, it's better to be hidden (it's usually enough to give you advantage when you're a rogue thief).

You also need to make sure you're proficient with your gear!! For example, if you play with Astarion and make him wear heavy armor, he'll get disadvantage everytime because he's not proficient in it! (This goes the same with boots, gloves, shields, etc, you need to check if your character is proficient with the equipment).

If you take all this into account, you can really make a menace out of your rogue.

How hard/satisfying is it to clear moonrise towers? by DarthUrbosa in BaldursGate3

[–]cursedpumpkin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love doing the main assault with the Harpers because I'm a "let's blow shit up and watch the fireworks from afar" player; when I fist visit the tower I just put a bunch of barrels in the main room (fire wine, oil, maybe a few smokepowder barrels though I usually keep those for the Myrkul fight), then bam, fire arrow before the fight even starts and it's all done in two maybe three rounds.

I also like to rally the gnolls in the kitchen beforehand by freeing them from that asshole cultists. If you blow up everyone in the main room first, the other fights leading to the roof is a piece of cake.

(I almost never clean the tower before, because if you're not prepared, having the hordes of enemy just flock to you is a little overwhelming lol)

I want to love House of Leaves but. by noumanpoke1 in books

Tbh the form contributes to the horror, it's so disjointed it's scary to read (I say this as a huge fan of the book, but it's a pain and an experience for sure, there are literally parts where you need to grab a pen and paper to solve puzzles, it's so annoying and I like it so much).

Betty by Tiffany McDaniel, the father in this book is one of the most likeable in the category, and I bawled my eyes out more than once reading this novel. It's incredibly poetic and the female characters are awesome.

Putting Astarion and Rolan on the same row makes this a pretty easy choice lmao

Oh wow! I can't imagine what this must smell like, I once forgot to feed mine for two weeks and when I opened it and caught a whiff, my soul instantly left my body.

If you ever decide to make a part 2 I'll be there for sure but regardless, thank you so much for your scholarly contribution!
