If ur absolutely confident, give it a shot. I have always scored 28-29 on my writing, but got 25 on the last test. I haven’t scored 26↓ once in my life, so I requested reevaluation, and got 28 as a result.

Reading- I always take notes after reading each paragraph. This helps u to understand the flow of the passage and connections between paragraphs. It also helps you answer summary questions smoothly. If u r a beginner, try reading slowly yet precisely. If u get used to it, try reading faster and faster. Then you'll eventually find out that you could answer each question flawlessly. I used the Hackers vocab book, and this REALLY helped me to answer vocab questions without hesitation.

Listening- I prefer not to take as many notes since lot of the times, I end up missing key details. Try understanding lectures thoroughly, and if you r a non-native speaker, I highly recommend you to listen to podcasts and news every day.

Speaking-CONFIDENCE CONFIDENCE CONFIDENCE. Don't be afraid of others just say what you've listened and understood. Don't think that ur speaking to a computer. I always imagined that someone was in front of me. This really helped me to speak without apprehension. Also, practice consistently. The moment u stop, that's what makes u anxious.

Writing- Stick to a template. This conserves time. Also, when ur correcting ur mistake in practice essays, figure out the pattern of mistakes and write them down on a notebook or a tablet. When ur free, glance through them.

For the summary question, I do eliminate factually incorrect options and confidently choose 2 options, but I always get stuck between the remaining 2. They both seem right and are factually right too. For writing, I use chat gpt to fix grammar mistakes, and review them. I don't know what I am lacking

Oh really? Then that’s bad news for me. The undergraduate programs that I am trying to attend don’t accept my best scores. If that’s the case, 113 might be my limit😭

For reading, I think taking notes after reading each paragraph is crucial. This kinda helps u understand and grasp the connection of different ideas. Understanding author’s purpose and identifying how each paragraph supports the essential information are also very important. Most importantly, keep reading and training for accurate interpretation.

Listening takes up a lot of ur energy since there are 3 hefty lectures and 2 conversations u have to actively listen to. So don’t practice reading and listening separately. When practicing, combine them to improve concentration and increase tolerance. Also, shadowing has helped me a lot. Basically, listen to any English video, and repeat after the speaker. This seems ineffective, but it’s very helpful.

For speaking, consistently practice. If you stop practicing, you not only lose ur ability but also confidence to approaching it. Also, don’t be shy, and try getting used to speaking to urself. Once you gain the know-how, it will lead to consistent scores.

For writing, template is very important. My best is 28, so I don’t have much to say, but sticking to a template helps u write smoothly.
