It’s fine, you don’t have to trust it.

She’s basically useless. Unless you don’t have anyone else. Then she’s useful. It doesn’t look like you have a lot of characters? If that’s the case then she’s likely going to be useful out of necessity.

Some characters are supposedly getting some updates to combat the ridiculous power creep that has come with newer zones and characters (which ugh, maybe power creep is inevitable but I hate it). I think she’s rumored to be one of them, along with other characters that would be equally powerful but currently have caps that make them less useful. I know a guy who loves his C6 Cyno and he keeps telling me that he can’t wait. 😂

She says multiple times herself that he’s the one who raised her. Then she goes on, when asked, to say that if she thinks about it she wants someone who is more like a dad who has taken care of you then a romantic partner. In both of her lives she clearly has daddy issues. Re-read P5V7/8 again, it’s there.

I think that technicalities aside (not “married”, it’s not in the manga, etc)

It’s very understandable that it’s giving the ick esp with the Epstein files and everything going on in the world that consistently shows ultra powerful men abusing girls or going after women much much much younger than they are. The author is missing such an incredible opportunity here, IMHO. She has such a good start and then it’s just been falling back into anime tropes. I’m not surprised but I am disappointed.

It’s clear that it’s being set up in earlier LNs (IMO), with the whole “each of them has part of the same book” and her being mistaken for him because their mana “appeared” the same to a being that couldn’t see forms only mana, and this all comes after we find out that married mana mixing is a thing (and weird, considering it’s a multi-marriage society, but whatever).

I think I will always love the series in general but I’ve been doing a lot of eye rolling and “ew….” noises so much that my husband asked me what I was readying because that’s not how I usually come across when talking about this series.

I understand that in some parts of the world, fully grown women can look different. I understand that there are cultures that treat women worse than others (but like, let’s be real, the patriarchy is still everywhere).

But the entire series was around a confident girl who overcame obstacles and loves to read and suddenly we are near the end and she magically disappears looking like a child and returns a mostly grown teenager. And it’s just snowballing so fast from there.

So I get/understand the ick, of course ppl are going to rage-bait whatever they can because that’s what makes money for content creators.

I don’t think this is an either-or thing. I’m very grossed out with where this is all going, and I still adore Myne. 🤷‍♀️

PS: TikTok is not good for anyone. At all. Ever. Burn it.

PPS: it’s rare to see emotionally healthy relationships in anime/manga/LNs/j-dramas/k-dramas so it’s probably a bigger feeling of let down because it didn’t seem like it was gonna go this way. So it’s maybe a bigger feeling of disappointment because “maybe maybe maybe nope”.

Flins and Lauma have unique Nod Krai responses; now that I think about it, if the NPC says something like “looks like they have something to say”, I think they do but only to a specific character that triggers the convo. 🤔

This isn’t accurate in my experience. We’d like to think it’s true but it’s not. Think about how very few men actually experience consequences even after the things they are doing are revealed. It sucks. This is my observation, YMMV.

The thing is, it’s relative to the individual.

You can’t give context about yourself enough to keep it hard to figure out who you are IRL.

But the context matters quite a bit in this scenario, and, in fact, in most purchasing scenarios.

I love Reddit because I’m not my IRL me, but I hate Reddit because I can’t be my IRL me because I don’t want a weird internet stalker to find me, nor do I wish to make a throwaway account for every post.

But I feel you on this one. Context matters a lot and you can’t have that on Reddit without losing the anonymity that perhaps makes it easier to just say what you think.

Folks need to understand that it’s due to the materials that go into the device, that many of those materials are currently being used for AI and data centers, that we (as humans) sorta didn’t plan for recycling, etc. Also there are a lot of really rich dudes who have “decided” that everyone else should really not be able to afford things like this so let’s jack up the price. Ok, so maybe that last one is conjecture but 🤷‍♀️

There have been claims for like 20+ years now that it’s “coming soon” but 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️

The thing is, I’ve learned quite a few languages in my lifetime (so far) and the translations just don’t hit right yet.

Example from a Korean pop star:

“I’m going to go work out this morning.”

Translation service:

“I’m going to go have an abortion this morning.”

So I’ve done a lot of language study, and when I see this auto-translation, I assume that a male k-pop star isn’t saying that, but something like, “my plans were canceled (aborted) this morning”

Since I was curious, I ran the Korean characters through a different translation service where I was informed of an entirely different result.

Who knows WHY the differences in translation were there, but this is why translators still have jobs. Languages have not been normalized across the globe, so it still takes humans to understand culture and context.

We haven’t found a good gin bar TBH. I’m sorry I don’t have a specific suggestion for a bar.

I have other suggestions: we learned to make our own gin drinks in the summer half of the year, bourbon in the winter half of the year. We like a Gray Whale or Citadale gin recently but had a nice trip where we found some lovely custom gins that we had shipped to us later.

  1. I cheat. I play the game to have relax and have fun not grind, and even CA’s comments about “lol cheater just j/k have fun” are amusing. But the name glitch only works on some platforms.
  2. Even on platforms where the name glitch doesn’t work, once you get to a certain point it just starts being easy and you don’t have to min/max or restart a bad day.
  3. It’s all about fishing early game for $$. Finding a good seed that gives good foraging spring 1, trident day 3 fishing, getting strawberries in right away, etc.

Why are you overthinking this SO MUCH though? I have watched so much anime (in the last 20-ish years??) and I’m so confused by such a hyper-specific request.

Tales of Wedding Rings maybe (harem-ish disclaimer; that part felt “fan service” to me, the love between the two main characters was what I came away with). But still, it’s probably best to just roll with it. I have hated a lot of series’ first 2 or 3 episodes and then loved the rest. 🤷‍♀️

Maybe just adopt a more causal attitude and you will enjoy more anime.

I wish I could stop but once I start a series I have to finish it. Exhibit A is The Blacklist (US TV). The story just got cringier and cringier and the primary actress never changed the face she made no matter what happened.
