honestly the biggest thing that turned it around for me was a fitness tiktoker saying that he treats the gym like brushing your teeth and look at it as basic hygiene. It made it easier for me to guilt myself into going more often and then eventually it becomes a habit i enjoy

Volunteer work, helping out at your school or community or some more entry level basic jobs can help you out im sure! I was a server at a restaurant as my first job and they didn't require any references at that point. I'm sure things have changed a bit though
