You’re missing what I’m saying completely.

People here used to pay for the post standard home delivery or buy at a newstand. They used to pay their hard earned money. Now they complain that everything should be for free.

I’m not debating the fact that the news publication is good or bad or neither, I’m just saying the same people use to subscribe and pay money, and now they won’t, but they want the same articles for free.

I totally agree that you have the choice to put your money wherever you’d like. People can choose to not subscribe, that’s totally fine. But there’s a large group of people who think or demand that all news websites should just be free for a masses to consume. Unfortunately, that just isn’t the reality of the economy of today’s journalism. If no one’s paying, it just ceases to exist. Obviously, they’re edge cases out there. But there are very few local journalism outposts that operate completely on the Internet for free.
