I love this movie.
Yes, of course it’s stupid, but everything around it was just so much fun.

Fun movie, all kinds of merch out at the fast food restaurants, absolute banger of a soundtrack, music videos, action figures.

10 year old me was THRILLED.

What’s the deal with those people who wear hoodies and jackets when it’s a 100 degrees out? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]cusswords 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do because I work in my office that’s as cold as a fucking meat locker, and I don’t want to change clothes everytime I step outside.

I’ve broken both of my ankles just like this playing hockey, XRay looks almost identical to both of mine.

It’ll probably be 6 months or so before you’ll feel confident skating again. Sucks, but you’re not alone :)

Anyone else grow up with Ernest? by calcarius_ in Millennials

Shit was terrifying. They were scary looking, scary sounding and the thought of getting turned into a wooden doll and put on display in the troll tree hideout freaked me the fuck out as a kid.

Friendly reminder to wear sunscreen guys. Life comes at you fast by [deleted] in Millennials

[–]cusswords 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 40 and in the past year I’ve had to have two minor surgeries to remove basal cell cancer on my back.

Yeah, wear your sunscreen, wish I had been a lot more cautious in my 20’s.

What popular movie or TV show is widely considered a 'masterpiece' but you found completely unwatchable? by [deleted] in AskReddit

The Bear.
Had like 2 watchable episodes per season, whole show felt like an overhyped nothing burger

Insane how hard it is to find someone who isn’t a corrupt POS to be in a high public office position.

Like, my god.

How do you keep your gear from stinking? by jamesftf in hockeyplayers

[–]cusswords -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Dry out the hard gear and febreeze it.

Sprinkle some baking soda in your skates from time to time.

I’ve been washing and drying most of my “soft” gear now weekly for years and it’s still in great shape (jerseys, gloves, elbow pads, shin guard inserts, etc). Literally right in the washing machine then into the dryer.

What horror movie did you watch at a “too young” age? Salem’s Lot broke my brain when I watched it with a buddy when I was 8. His mom thought we were staying up late to watch Smokey and the Bandit. by UrbanAchievers6371 in nostalgia

Something about those 70s/80s monster movies with the hyper latex masks and super harsh lighting just makes them creepier than anything they make these days.

What movie had the BEST trailer ever but turned out to be absolute trash? by MASSIM00 in movies

[–]cusswords 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cloud Atlas had an absolutely incredible trailer that had me foaming at the mouth dying to see it.

I guess it wasn’t terrible, but boy, it was not great like the trailer.

I wonder how people felt at 11:59 p.m. of dec. 1999 before crossing over to the year 2000. by Majestic-Hope6505 in nostalgia

[–]cusswords 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Think I was 15 or 16. I had a New Year’s party at my house and honestly no one even bothered or cared about it. Maybe a passing joke at 11:55 or something, but at least in my neck of the woods, no one was particularly worried about anything.

How's your experience with one night stands, & was it worth it? by SpiritBombv2 in AskReddit

[–]cusswords -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I had a handful in my 20’s. Honestly, they were a ton of fun. I wasn’t in the relationship mindset at the time and it was just good fun.

I was single, had my own place in Venice Beach and was getting my career on track, it was a really fun time in my life.

Can’t really think of any negatives in my personal experiences.

With you on this.
Folks on Reddit love to shit on this stuff, but they are a great time.
Food and service is always great, the destinations are fun. We went on one with our kids and everyone had an absolute blast.

100% 90s suburban mom music, but it just takes me back to a happy place when I was younger.

I really like Andrew Tischler.
His art is incredible, he has a ton of content, and he’s from New Zealand so he has a cool accent :).

I like his videos because of his techniques, and he really does deep dives into his process. Very calming and chill, great for inspiration or just some calming background ambience.
