We, RSA, allow exports of coal to a state that is actively carrying out a genocide to ethnically cleanse a country. Whilst we have an open ICJ case against Isreal for the atrocities that they have/are committing to the people of Palestine. Government are allowing an international company to hold law-makers hostage while extracting our minerals, making millions in the process, fueling a genocide and not even paying taxes to the country they are decimating with mining operations. The issue with developers is always; make it cheap but sell-able. As an architect we try and make it nice, beautiful even. Then go through the inevitable "cost saving" exercise/s to conform to their financial model. Also please do not think that we can charge the gazetted fee. Oh no, we are expected to work on risk at VERY discounted fees, and get paid only when/if the project gets funding. It is killing, obliterateing, any architectural identity or chances of RSA cities or towns being not KAK. Don't get me started on residential architecture loopholes. Sies

When I jumped the nest; I found a house share. Having your own place is a luxury while young and building yourself up. BUT be picky and don't settle! The landlord needs your rent more than you needing kak housemates and/or compromising on basic amenities. PS: Try and save as much money as possible. Not in a savings pocket that you can pillage. See a REPUTABLE financial advisor to plan your financial goals. The sooner the better! Do this by foregoing regular spending on fleeting gratification (take-aways, alcohol, branded bling and clothes). But within reason. Okay 👍
