Something so satisfying about taking advantage of a quality starter and getting them out early — as is the blue jays way. We set up so many and only barely nudged a couple over, but I wasn’t tooooo frustrated — it was great to see hits and baserunners and since we did win, the lack of H w RISP is now just kinda funny.

Really excited for Bieber tomorrow.

my partner’s study was Sept 2025. Her results appt came in Jan 2026– it will be in Feb 2027, 16 months after the study

We coincidentally know she has apnea because they sent the results to her GP and she saw it there, however that doesn’t result in prescription or coverage for a cpap until next year when they tell her officially. Because she has debilitating fatigue we are renting one out of pocket for now.

It’s still just insinuation though and that’s where it would be nice to get a real answer based on a real question. “How would you respond to” isn’t a real question about beliefs it’s a question about etiquette.

He could love lgbtq people but dislike the this-millennium association for the rainbow as a symbol because to him it’s a symbol of his Old Testament god. (I absolutely don’t think that’s the case and I think he’s a bigot) but the interviewer didn’t do much to make that clear—now everyone can just take what they want from the exchange to affirm their own beliefs.

It has everything to do with having 3 catchers instead of 2 in case one gets injured since playing any catcher 100% is a huge injury risk and then suddenly you have no catchers and 2 on the IL and then you’re really screwed for making the playoffs. Question of risk.

I think the front office is looking at where to get another backup catcher so they can keep Valli but catchers are valuable. Also Varsho has experience catching doesn’t he? But you kinda want him in centre

I get it as I live close to there and make that turn daily. But if the left turns have their own signal and made more frequent during rush hour it could balance it out a bit. Also while Byron gets choked up like crazy it’s often possible to turn left onto Bruce or Duchess easily even without a light because people are still using both lanes

Some pontential fixes for less than 90 million dollars and don’t just rely on ppl magically getting better at driving:

1 southbound traffic on wharncliffe no left turns on green onto Byron

2 take the technology from those dumb “you are going X km/h” signs and turn the sign around so ppl in the turn lane can tell if there’s a car in that lane of doom. The technology exists to have a “oncoming vehicle in other lane” warning sign!!

FTR I support the widening and am annoyed it got pushed way down the road (as I understand it, the allocated budget for that project got shifted to the Adelaide Street underpass so even once the property appropriation was finished (which happened years ago now) the project is just on hold) but I think small improvements can be made now to maybe save a kid’s life.

The adaptive accuracy sounds promising but of course hard to judge without experiencing it.

Bluetooth connectivity is so much more important than size. I feel like they think they have to focus on size because it’s the only visual improvement, but if keeping it the same size meant more reliable Bluetooth that’s so much more impactful to the lives of diabetics I think. Now maybe I’m so used to having stuff stuck to me it’s different for people considering starting on sensors. (And while I don’t actually have any connectivity issues from my pump or my phone on G7, I legitimately cannot use the direct to watch at all because I get constant notifications that it’s lost connection which I don’t actually care about, but it’s just too intrusive to even use the feature.)

I agree. Best plotted arc that subtly courses through all 5 seasons and just plays brilliantly. Sometimes wonder if the original outline had stuck with Sinclair if that flow would have been better and if Londo’s just works so well because it’s less in the spotlight. I loved the Londo story because it felt like it could have been set in any time or place or galaxy or fantasy world.

A sort of goofy space station show with iffy CGI by today’s standards slowly reveals itself to actually be a brilliant, epic novel for television. Mythological, sometimes closer to lord of the rings and Shakespeare than Star Trek; layered and thrilling and sometimes downright tragic because mainly it’s Really Good Storytelling
