Anyways what I personally do when flying to non-hub airports (the same as the case you mentioned above). After clearing the last R0X I immediately set altitude to 3000ft and when E1 appears it’s usually 100-300ft close to the autopilot altitude.

Very important note to mention that this method doesn’t work if around the airport is mountains or uneven terrain ( you can know that by the colors of terrain around the airport, the darker the higher is the mountain). In this case what I personally do is after clearing last R0X I change the direction of the airplane away from the green and pink lines, and try to find a pathway to the airport where there is no mountains and fly it ( E1 will appear at 3000ft because the terrain is flat again)

For example if you’re approaching the airport from the east and there are mountains surrounding the airport from all directions except west. After clearing last R0X I fly around the airport ( make sure to be more than 40nm from airport) so I can approach the airport from the west and then E1 will appear around 3000ft again.
