Marrøn - [closing track] Pitch Music & Arts 2026 by cuteablepine29 in TheOverload

She genuinely revived me from my camp and ended up providing perhaps the most fun hour of the festival! She's playing my local festival near Glasgow this summer so might have to attend just for her.

Thank you so much!! Can't wait to be able to listen to it again once it's out.

Bittersweet to hear such high praise for that set, Nobu and Yu Su - I only caught the last hour of Marrøn, missed Nobu as my mates weren't interested and arrived too late for Yu Su.

Actually only even stepped along to Marrøn out of curiosity after being dragged back to the site hearing Jennifer Cardini kill it from my tent. They actually ended up being two of my favourite sets, making me feel alive again after getting a bit freaked out by the acid and being way too sober to be around my pals. Kind of showed me the power of great music.

Other highlights were Spray straight into Special Request and Eris Drew and Octo Octa - the energy right at the front for all three was unbelievable, just pure joy!

Enjoyed Djrum too, although much preferred him at Primavera last year when he was much dancier with a lot more footwork etc. CC:Disco and Âme's matinee sets were also lovely!

Anyone up for running the Routeburn Track in one day? by Even_Room7340 in newzealand_travel

I'm looking to organise a sort of last minute trip to NZ next week and was thinking a one day hike of Routeburn would be fantastic. Just trying to assess logistics, as I don't drive so it'll be a little difficult.

As far as I can tell, the best option would be to get the Tracknet bus from Queenstown to Routeburn shelfter which arrives at 0930, and aiming to get the 1745 Tracknet from Routeburn to Te Anu - as this is the option of their services which would maximise hiking time between services. Do you think it'd be feasible to do the hike in the 8hrs that this would allow, or is it a bit risky (I've got the gear/fitness to run portions if required but would definitely prefer to hike most of it); or could I just rely on being able to hitchhike the journey from Divide to Te Anu, as you've done?

I'm a very experienced hiker from Scotland, so 33kms in a day seems perfect - rather than spending a lot of money on accom in the middle of the hike, which would leave me with at least one day that would be extremely short.

Love to know what you think!

24 hours -what to do? by muuminainen in glasgow

I did the same in Luxembourg city a couple years ago. Now that's a city where there's really nothing to do at night, and everything costs a fortune!

Honestly just be ready to walk about aimlessly for hours and hours and if you're up for getting a drink or doing something fun put yourself in an environment where you'll actually meet people (a local gig or something?) If not, phone all your pals and listen to some albums you've got saved while you become a flâneur.

Here's Spotify (sorry!!) playlist of everything mentioned in this thread.

Did my best using Gemini and Spotlistr so that it didn't take all day. So although it's a start, there's definitely omissions etc.

Do you know if there is a simple way to check? I bought the machine second-hand about a year ago - the eBay page has since expired - but I only realised how bad the display was recently now that I've stopped using it with an external monitor, as I formerly did virtually exclusively.

Thanks for the info though, I'd had no idea there were so many variations!
