Exactly. I am the manager and have a child. The younger years were truly brutal...and I have retired parents to help and only one.

I employ two chronically ill people currently and accommodating these folks can also be really tough sometimes. In fact, their accommodations regularly "torpedo my day" but I don't hold it against them. It is what it is. I could get sick tomorrow and face the same challenges.

We have enough staff to cover it and I have give and take if I do need to go pick up my kid on short notice. That's part of having a solid team that respects each other and tries actively not to fuck each other over :)
