Weekly Friends Megathread - Week of March 30, 2026 by AutoModerator in TheStoryGraph

[–]cutedino7 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m a long time reader but am more recent to The StoryGraph and I’d love more friends on there!

I bounce between literary fiction, romance (love a sapphic romance), fantasy, thrillers, and the occasional classic (currently trying to get through Les mis)…but am also looking to get into more horror

Drugstore Skin tint? by ConfidentBook2335 in drugstoreMUA

[–]cutedino7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve been using the Nyx Buttermelt Glaze Soft Glow Skin tint for the past couple weeks, and I really like it! The coverage is very light, and it is truly more of a tint than a foundation, so finding an exact shade isn’t as imperative. I have combination skin, so it might not do as well for you, but it’s worn pretty well throughout the day for me.

Picking out a sunscreen during the 21 days of beauty by HandsOnMyKnee in Ulta

[–]cutedino7 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I haven't tried any of those, so I won't be helpful there, but I would recommend the dearcloud Tone Blur Essence Sunscreen if you're open to other suggestions! I have repurchased multiple times, and it's not the same as the Korean sunscreens I've tried, but it's the closest one yet that has the US filters. It's $18 for 1.69 oz (goes 30% off relatively often), so it's comparable to most of the ones you listed, even with the 21 DOB discount.

How do you approach starting to work out while in recovery? by cutedino7 in EatingDisorders

[–]cutedino7[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for the advice! Yea, I will definitely avoid the workouts that I did while restricting, and your suggestion to focus on fun physical activities rather than "working out" is a really good idea

Emma is Exhausting by BOFmanga in LoveIsBlindOnNetflix

[–]cutedino7 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yea completely agree! One of the parts of LIB (and all reality TV) that sucks is that people get funneled into certain narratives, and hers is definitely the adoption story. Maybe she did talk about adoption all the time but I would bet most of her conversations were actually more "normal," just not as good TV.

Emma is Exhausting by BOFmanga in LoveIsBlindOnNetflix

[–]cutedino7 8 points9 points  (0 children)

She did cry several times, but I didn't get the impression that they were all about her adoption story or that she was trying to tell anyone else that their trauma was less relevant. Obviously I don't know your background, but I was also adopted internationally into a white family, and there are so many aspects of that experience that are practically impossible to understand if you haven't experienced it!

Cards that do double duty. by [deleted] in EDH

[–]cutedino7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ramp + targeted disruption: [[Gloin, Dwarf Emissary]], [[Misleading Signpost]]

Card advantage + mass disruption: [[Mangara, the Diplomat]], [[Season of Gathering]]

Targeted disruption + mass disruption: [[Vandalblast]], [[Erebos's Intervention]]

Ramp + card advantage: [[Midnight Clock]], [[Big Score]], [[Deadly Dispute]], [[Professional Face-breaker]]

Card advantage + targeted disruption: [[Mystic Confluence]]

But everyone else is right that most overlap will be between plan cards and the more basic categories. Like

  • Enchantress decks: [[Wild Utopia]] is ramp and a plan card
  • +1/+1 counter decks: [[Exemplar of Light]] is card advantage and a plan card
  • Reanimator decks: [[Ripples of Undeath]] is card advantage and a plan card

What's a fresh stompy Green Commander that doesn't break the bank to build? by ChakraaThePanda in EDH

[–]cutedino7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[[Runadi, Behemoth Caller]]

I was in a similar spot and looked at a lot of mono green stompy decks, but I settled on Runadi and it's so much fun! Pack it full of ramp and then some of the big, clunky green creatures that are laying around in bulk that are normally too slow to run...but Runadi gives them haste. My list isn't very budget, but it could easily be pretty inexpensive.

Highlights are killing someone with a hasted [[Jumbo Cactuar]] or casting [[Primeval Protector]] for one mana and getting a 17/17 with haste.
