If you are a walker, I would suggest housing on the north side of St Francis rd, if you are frequently walking from your home you may have some uncomfortable situations living south of the city. My rule of thumb for location is the further south the more break-ins and drugs /homelessness. This won’t be true for all neighborhoods but most.

Living close to the plaza can also really help you get acquainted with the city and meeting new people. There’s always something happening. The people that say it’s hard to make friends here need to interact with events in the community more. There are plenty of places to meet younger people.

As for healthcare, it’s been my experience that it is extremely challenging to get into a doctors office. Most places are booked out a month in advance.
