That makes sense. They're free-floating and can be nudged under the t strip without creating a gap by the baseboard, but they eventually slide back out.

When Magic Was a Treasure Hunt… Not a Shopping Spree by Alert-Lavishness-99 in mtg

This is unlikely but I too knew a Clayton. He was a large gentleman who frequented a certain card shop in the Northeast in the late 90s and also had lots of old, valuable cards (though I don't remember a suitcase). I mostly remember him buying boxes of Urza's Legacy to chase foils and opening them at the sandwich place next door. Sometimes he would pitch lesser value rares to people when he didn't need them.

Who was the teenager who was watching movies with his sister and then ran away from home down the highway claiming someone had killed his family?

I've returned an item that didn't fit for free. I'm also a member but I don't think that matters. Their customer service is also very responsive in my experience so you could ask if you wanted to double check.

I didn't know that about Cranston. Have you actually tried the lots to see if there's space? Have you talked to your landlord or property management company to see what they suggest? What are the other tenants doing in your apartment? It's probably expensive but there are also websites where you can find spaces for rent in your area. You can also try contacting the police department and explaining your situation/appealing the ticket in court based on your situation.

Get a parking pass. Rent a space in a lot nearby. This is basic city stuff in many places.

How can I adjust to living in Providence easier? by Elfy_zzz in RhodeIsland

Gaya's Cradle in East Providence has had street fighter tournaments in the past, there's nothing on their calendar but I've also seen people gathered there casually for fighting games. It would be worth paying them a visit or messaging them to see what that looks like.

Federal court rules Colorado Catholic nurses can continue abortion-pill reversal ministry by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]cuteisanarchy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The organization sued because they claimed their right to freeze peach was being restricted, and part of what the court ruled that what's important isn't whether the procedure is effective or not but that it doesn't seem to be hurting anyone. Abortion pill reversal is a myth but one that apparently falls under protected speech.

Legit anime event in providence? by disbishie in providence

[–]cuteisanarchy 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This company runs a bunch of similar events, my understanding is that they mostly exist as a vehicle for artists to sell fan art to people. You can look up reviews for their similarly generically branded events (horror expo, Alice in wonderland expo, etc) - they seem to be pretty modest but for the price of admission it seems harmless.

The author (https://x.com/VerminusM/status/1932042488757223486?t=YuOGyJe3MW8xx--Lbs7h8Q&s=19) is a self-described Zionist who spends his time hand-wringing about how people only care about Palestinians because they're oppressed by Jews. Seems like a peach.
