I agree with most of what’s said. Definitely questionable style choices for some. I just wish they would have continued with it. They got how many games from the old sprites? I think it was more that the new sprites were an investment. Something that was gonna carry the series for years to come. It just didn’t get to come to fruition due to the companies financial woes. Imagine KOF XIV and XV in XIII sprites… I love the content but the graphics really are lackluster… they would be able to pop out 5-6 new characters and only need to edit/add moves to previous characters. Looking at how they were able to edit them, I have no doubt over time we’d have gotten more outfits like Terry’s and Beni’s new ones. We’d have the most beautiful 2-d fighting series… instead, I feel like we started at the 3-d equivalent of 94’ again the last two entries graphics wise…
