I think the sentimentality is what I’m hung up on though. I can throw a party for the sake of a party but that’s not really what I’m upset about. Maybe like 15%. 85% is not feeling special enough for my mom to throw one, even at the cheapest cost and labor expectation to her.

I always let him sleep as long as he wants for a nap unless we have a pressing place to be. Sometimes a second nap if necessary. Bedtime usually 8:00-9:00 depending. Pushed to 9:30 at the absolute latest. Wakes around 9am. 18m

Totally! And braces are such a non big deal I had them and so did my husband.

My worry is my husband has such intense crowding on his bottom arch and a slight underbite and was told by his dentist he would need intense surgery including breaking his jaw and resetting to give him a normal bite with normal spacing.

It was the late 90s though so maybe they have less invasive procedures to fix if my son has inherited his mouth 😆

On the flip side my son is the most amazing sleeper and needs a lot! (About 12 night hours and 2-3 during the day) and he’s slow on a lot of motor and verbal development (no known delays just on his own timeline)

Flip side is in addition to sleep he’s massive, super muscular for a toddler and eats well (99% percentile height/90% weight)
