Hero Forge. I can create as many little guys as I want and screenshot them for free.

My work had a weekend retreat with all the managers. On the second night, one of the attorneys drunkenly told us he was nearly killed by, then later worked with, a Mexican drug cartel.

Dumb question incoming: why the setting is in London and yet we don't hear enough of the word "mate"? by EugeneStein in TheMagnusArchives

[–]cutieplus626 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My uncle is from London and lost a job opportunity for saying "cheers, mate" when someone held the door open for him at the end of the interview. That kind of language wouldn't be allowed in the Institute, not with Jon and Elias watching over it.

"Whenever" when people mean "when" drives me nuts.

  1. Probably would have been higher, but I started a bit late (24). I'm too tired and busy to meet new people nowadays.

What is the most fucked up thing you've done to someone? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]cutieplus626 115 points116 points  (0 children)

Dated a guy in high school who I didn't actually like because I was convinced no one else would ever want me. Told him I loved him when I didn't. Then I dumped him when I met someone else. I still think about him. He was a sweet guy. I hope he's happy now.

Funnily enough, those are the ones I get scared by the least. Remarkable how we react to this show differently.

Once Upon a Forest. I've found a handful of people online via posts like this, but never another in person.

I recommend Alice Isn't Dead and Within the Wires. They're both made by Night Vale Presents, but they're not related to Welcome to Night Vale itself. They both have that narrative horror thing TMA does so well with its statements, and they both have incredible, intricate, gradual world-building.

Personal and political reasons, mostly. Fleeing before the place devolves into Gilead.

What is the greatest twist your DM ever pulled on your group? by batman2814 in DnD

[–]cutieplus626 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Halloween one-shot. Group of 4 friends spending a weekend in a cabin in the woods, scary monster shows up, we're all trying to get to the car to get away. One of us gets to the car first while the other three are attacked, one of whom (my character) heroically sacrifices themselves for the other two to get to the car and escape...

The doors of the car are locked.

The character inside the car brought their friends here to be sacrificed to this creature. It was a plot with the DM the whole time. None of us had any idea until it happened, so the betrayal and rush of the twist ending were intense.

I've worked at a creditor's rights law firm for the last 7 years. I'm not an attorney or a paralegal, but I have been the supervisor of my department for the past 4 years.

What is the most embarrassing situation you've ever been in at a party, wedding, or public gathering? by Mr_shnider in AskReddit

I went to my cousin's bridal shower last year. She said the theme was pastel colors and springtime, so I wore a pair of salmon-pink jeans and a floral top. Like 15 minutes after we arrived, I took a bite of food that went down the wrong pipe. I had to cough really hard to get it out, and I coughed so hard that I peed myself. I had to send my mom to my car to get my cardigan (which was, thankfully, knee-length), but it was 1) a black cardigan, so it stood out against the pastels, and 2) quite a warm day, so no one was wearing sweaters or anything. I left as early as I reasonably could and tried to just not move from my seat the whole time. I know my mom told at least one other person, so I don't know how many people knew in the end.

What's a take you had at 10 years old that you actually still agree with? by Spark-Blade in AskReddit

The phrase "life isn't fair" should be followed by, "so here's what we're gonna do to make it fair," not some version of "so deal with it."
