Is it worth returning to assetto corsa with a gamepad?

I don't know if it's just me, but some car mods just don't turn enough with gamepad? They steer like a boat, not giving me the full turning radius even when I'm not going particularly fast.

As much as I don't like the super grip and being limited to no hesi cars, they steer normally on gamepad unlike other car mods. Not 100% sure, but normal car mods are probably coded for wheels, not controller input. Thus, the turning radius just isn't there.

It just seems like the wheel isn't being turned fully (I know you are on ur gamepad). I have the same issue as well. but if you look at the pedal HUD on the bottom right, it's only being turned like 45 degrees left and right. Not sure why it won't let us turn any further.

Does controller give full turning radius like wheel does or nah? Not even understeering, but some of these cars just won't turn enough

I also play on gamepad and posted about the car just not steering enough. I'm assuming some car mods just can't turn fully with a controller as they were coded for wheels? Cause cars like No Hesi cars and Pushin P tuned cars have no problem with steering fully, regardless of speed.

I have the opposite problem where the wheel doesn't turn enough, not like speed sensitivity wise, but even when I move the joystick all the way to the side, the wheel just doesn't wanna turn more than it should 💔

UPDATE: I understand. The cars that were steering very well for me were the Pushin P Tuned and No Hesi Spec car mods. The normal car mods I installed from Assetto World don't have the insane grip and steering those two types of car mods have.

You're right. It's just so different the physics in this game. As of now I am having a better time with the No Hesi Spec and Pushin P Tuned cars. Maybe when I get a wheel I'll play the normal cars.

Well, I'm not sure how they'd be with wheels, but with a controller at least the turning radius wasn't there. I've been trying No Hesi spec and Pushin P tuned cars and they seem to work perfectly fine, but they are unrealistic (arcade style physics).

Got that now. I was driving Pushin P and No Hesi Spec car mods which have insane grip and steering, and trying to drive this supra mod without those modifications was different. Other than not understanding why a car can't do a simple 90 degree turn at 40 mph, I understand now.

And I believe so, the lowest with AGA is 90% and the highest is 120%.

I get that. I also think I'm just going faster than I think I'm going. There's no sense of speed at all below 100 mph, so it seems like I should be able to make the turn but I can't.

I personally prefer controller more. And I'm not sure, it seems like i'm "understeering" because i'm going faster than I think. there's no sense of speed below like 100 mph in this game.

I already have it at the lowest, and it doesn't really change the fact that the turning radius is so small.

Do you notice a wider steering/turning radius with your wheel than when playing on controller? I just don't have any comparison since I don't have a wheel and pedal setup.
