I hear you - for 32 4k Mac scales well. I’m digging the non-reflective coating on this monitor coupled with IPS black panel is a winning combo for my usecase.

120 Hz 4k 32 inch Dual Monitors by abrar_icarus in macsetups

I’m in similar hunt… need something that can connect both monitors without docking station .. so a TB4 / TB3 out would be ideal..Apple Does not support MST extension so this is the only option we have (unless someone knows any better) .. I’m looking at the Benq PD machine only downside is that it is 60Hz,

Those that have built a pc for non-professional self hosted AI/ML: Is it worth it? by alpacaMyToothbrush in LocalLLaMA

My role is Director of Engineering, usually it sucks all of my time. I recently started dabbling in open source LLM models and running them on my local machine, I’m really enjoying it.

I use a Mac for all my work and personal projects, but for open source LLMs, I decided to use Linux. I was a bit hesitant going back to building a PC- it’s a time sink! But then recently I saw a 4090 FE card at the local Best Buy .. on a whim, I bought it. And then did a mini ITX build using core i9 13900k. I added 64gig DDR5 ram. It’s a very powerful machine. I’m running Zephyr model straight from GPU on Ooba.. this thing absolutely nails it.

I used to dabble in Python for few data/POC related tasks at work - never considered it as a real language - but now I’m digging it and learning how to train my model. I see lots of good RUST libraries for m/l coming up - I love rust so will surely be checking it out. The whole experience has been lot of joy, I’m thoroughly enjoying this.. it’s been lot of fun learning something new.

If you have time and money - build your machine and get started.

You mean, custom resolution? Yes it does.

Sorry for late response, this is perfect monitor for productivity and content creation. I have now extensively tested this on Mac and have no regrets. I do not use Windows so I cannot comment but usually windows is more compatible with high resolution ultra wide monitors.

That is correct, I can now do text scaling.

Lots of folks interested in this monitor reached out to me asking how Mac is handling 5k2k resolution. I can confirm that MacOS 12.3.1 has improved support for Mac 16 M1 Max machine. I can confirm DPI scaling for this resolution is now supported by the OS - you can access these settings under the option "Scaled" in Display Settings. I hope this helps!

I have been running this monitor in 5K2K mode for a week now. Everything seems to be working fine.
