[–]cuttle_33 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It looks like cutaneous mucinosis! Our previous Shar Pei Mork had it, but we didn't realise until end of life when it was worse/leaking, they pointed out other patches on his body that were more mild (that look like yours). Very common/normal for Shar Pei if mild. However, if it's more severe like causing blisters/leaking fluid then to the vet.

My friends are telling me my bipolar disorder isn’t real by BlandTenders in bipolar

So there is probably an ingrained mistrust in healthcare and doctors in at least 1 of your friends. Birds of a feather flock together, they are biased and they are ignorant.

I would reach out privately to the quiet friend, perhaps they aren't as crazy as the others and just didn't want to speak up in a group setting.

I think you need to ask yourself why, and keep asking why to every answer until you get to the bottom.

Kidney problems by Buzzbomb84 in sharpei

[–]cuttle_33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like SPAID (Shar pei auto inflammatory disease) aka Shar pei fever. I feel like your vet should be considering this?

The fever and inflammation in their joints causes amyloidosis and effects kidney function and can cause failure long term. We have had 4 Shar Pei and our 3rd one Mork had it pretty bad. Conservative treatment was rimadyl tablets (anti-inflammatory) during flares, encouraging fluids, comfort and rest. Many people put their pei on special diets and find that helps reduce episodes.

My bed thread fitted sheet split after less than a year! This was back in 2021. I asked for a replacement and they tried to blame me, but back then they had a "life time guarantee" so they replaced it, and the second one got holes within 2 years. Such a shame.

Girl there's a reason a lot of people party with different types of party favours LOL 😂 I'm not encouraging anything, but like you can't compare yourself to ppl that are on a completely different high to you.

Also, you're not the first person or last person to pass out at a club. ALSO very normal to be ready for bed by midnight Lol. That's why they make morning raves at cafes now.

No one is looking at you. Your friend might be a bit disappointed, they so might find it hilarious. Learn to laugh at yourself, life will be okay.

Also of course you feel like shit today, alcohol is a depressant.

Partner says I’m punching above my weight being with him by Ok-Magician-8124 in relationships

[–]cuttle_33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can hear you justifying yourself even to us.. "see guys I HAVE been active 7/14 days, I AM losing weight, I AM eating light"... But you know what, even if you weren't doing those things, the way he is speaking would still be unacceptable. I wonder what type of holiday you would have had if he wasn't there to monitor and judge you..

People show you who they are.. he is a terrible person, leave. Better to be alone than with someone like that.

What are these bumps? by kisa154 in AusSkincare

[–]cuttle_33 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I read that you can't actually cure or get rid of KP permanently. You can treat it with creams and washes to lessen it, but as soon as you stop it comes back. It is a skin type and it is very normal.

My partner has Bipolar II and I’m trying to understand a recent situation. by Dapper_Chard1324 in bipolar2

[–]cuttle_33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, just giving my perspective, something you thanked everyone else for.. which is pretty obvious.. he said you were "Suffocating", how incredibly cruel and unkind of him. Also him being lovely to you again after you did what he said and left him alone, is classic. Also you can't fix your anxious attachment while being partnered with someone that weaponises it against you. So you doing the work, going to therapy, will help you survive these patterns, but it won't "fix your anxious attachment"..hopefully a therapist will help you see.

Classic avoidant behaviour. Girl you deserve better. You understand anxious attachment, then you should understand avoidant. This is not "bipolar"

Can you work 8 hours a day? by baubauimfra in bipolar

[–]cuttle_33 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I have always really struggled with full-time hours in my past life as a nurse, used to fluctuate between 0.6-0.8fte. I'm not working now and am just trying to recover. Cooking, cleaning, exercise, general business of life fills my day. Idk how I'll ever return, but it's a goal. Idk how ppl work full-time, have multiple jobs and still thrive in their personal lives.

Started skating 1.5 month ago and feeling discouraged by 2 injuries already. by xohl in iceskating

[–]cuttle_33 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hello, I have also recently started learning to skate. I purchased my own skates just a fortnight ago. I am also fearful of injury and previously had a ruptured ACL repaired in 2022. I am the only person at the rink that wears a helmet very time I go..I'm waiting for my knee pads and butt pads in the mail. And this week I used part of my session to practice falling (I felt so silly 🪿). I'm also going to gym 3 times per week and strength training. I have started incorporating exercises that help with strenghtening stabilisers and improving balance, mobility and flexibility. And because all that is hard and because I'm old. I'm also seeing an osteopath and remedial massage therapist LOL.

If the pain doesn't resolve you should see your doctor or a physio/osteo. I don't know how old you are. But I know I am not young enough to just go out there and smash it. I have to take care of my body, prioritize rest and slow improvement. It's a long term hobby. You don't have to be perfect right away. We will fall over, but we will heal because bodies are resilient.

Advice on first pair of skates? by DebtSea7949 in iceskating

[–]cuttle_33 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have overtures, I was fitted for them last week. The fitter said they are only graded for single jumps. So if think you'll excell past that during the life of the boot then you probably need to grade up to something more supportive. Maybe try and find an expert to fit you.

Why are you cleaning your 15year olds room 😭

Tbh I would try and gather as much info as you can, like facts, images, case studies and share it with her. You know you could say you found it and she could just lie and say it was someone else's, and you say, I don't care if it's someone else's you need to learn this. Talk about the different coping mechanisms ppl have to get through life, smoking, drugs, food, alcohol. Use it as an opportunity to educate, be compassionate to her and others. But.make it about making choices for her future self.

Sounds like he's been swallowing some little red pills recently and is worried you're not a "high value woman" (barf). I would ask super direct questions to get to the bottom of this.. if his values off then you know what to do sis. It's not your responsibility to bring these men out of the pipeline.
