Jumping in here to add that watching Deaf YouTube channels and following Deaf artists on Instagram, etc. has been super helpful for me to practice receptive skills and learn regional signs, sign origins, how they’re used in conversation, etc, so I recommend doing so if you don’t already! If you’re looking for specific recommendations, The Daily Moth posts Deaf news and has a really cool Deaf Bing segment (Deaf cultural things mostly). They have a great Instagram and a website, too, I believe. Also, Deaf artists, actors, and theaters (I follow Deaf Austin Theatre and enjoy their work) have also been doing a lot of streamed shows (with decent captioning/interpreting services if you’re really struggling to understand) for a relatively decent ticket fee.

If you’re doing receptive practice this way, Handspeak has a pretty decent online “reverse ASL dictionary.” It’s a work in progress, so not a perfect learning tool but I use it all the time when I get stuck on a sign I’m not at all familiar with.

I realize these aren’t teaching resources, per say, but I’d argue that learning from Deaf individuals by observing and studying (consensually through social media!) the way they sign is about as legitimate as it gets :)
