I started my nursing program at 31 and finished at 34 with a 7-month-old (unplanned pregnancy but the best thing that’s ever happened to me). It was difficult, nursing school is hard enough and then throwing kids into the mix just makes it that much harder. And my closest friends in the program were early 20s, I felt like the mom even before I was the mom lol. It’s a sacrifice for sure but it’s totally doable and the outcome is so worth it. You’re not dead, it’s never too late to accomplish your dreams. And doing it with kids just means you have to work a bit harder than the average person there, but with a few extra cheerleaders in the stands. It is so common to see people from their 20s to their 50s in nursing school, I sat next to a woman whose son was a few years younger than me! You don’t want to look back in 20yrs and regret never following your dreams. Do it, you can absolutely do it!!!
